We worship you oh Christ and we bless you.<br />
Because by your holy <strong>cross</strong> you have redeemed <strong>the</strong> world. (genuflection)<br />
Reading:<br />
My heart has said <strong>of</strong> you, "Seek his face." My heart says to you, "Your face, Lord, do<br />
I seek." Hide not your face from me. (Psalms 27:8-9a)<br />
As many were astonished at him, his appearance was so marred, beyond human<br />
semblance, and his form beyond that <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> sons <strong>of</strong> men. He had no form or comeliness<br />
that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised<br />
and rejected by men; a man <strong>of</strong> sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom<br />
men hide <strong>the</strong>ir faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (Isaiah 52:14; 53:2b-3).<br />

All stand: Let us pray.<br />
Fa<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> mercy grant that we may impress in ourselves <strong>the</strong> image <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> face <strong>of</strong> your Son<br />
so that we never doubt <strong>of</strong> your love.<br />
Grant this through Christ our Lord.<br />

Lectura:<br />
Mi corazón sabe que dijiste: «Busquen mi rostro». Yo busco tu rostro, Señor, no lo<br />
apartes de mí. (Salmo 27:8-9a)<br />
Así como muchos quedaron horrorizados a causa de él, porque estaba tan desfigurado<br />
que su aspecto no era el de un hombre y su apariencia no era más la de un ser humano, sin<br />
forma ni hermosura que atrajera nuestras miradas, sin un aspecto que pudiera agradarnos.<br />
Despreciado, desechado por los hombres, abrumado de dolores y habituado al sufrimiento,<br />
como alguien ante quien se aparta el rostro, tan despreciado, que lo tuvimos por nada. (Isaias<br />
52:14; 53:2b-3)<br />

Padre de misericordia concédenos que podamos imprimir en nosotros mismos la imagen del<br />
rostro de tu Hijo para que nunca dudemos de tu amor.<br />
