City council staff have put together a list containing heritage buildings yet to be repaired requiring Long Term Plan funding with no determined future use. The repairs have been put on hold until they have been reviewed. The heritage-listed Municipal Chambers, Canterbury Provincial Council Chambers and Ferrymead’s Penfold Cottage are among those on hold. It came after concerns the repair and restoration of heritage buildings were being presented to city councillors for decision making on an “ad hoc basis.” •Turn to page 5
