Their Love Story:
Bruce and Ellen first met at summer camp when they were about 12 years old. A few years
later they met again at GCA. Bruce asked Ellen to go with him to the Sound of Music. Ellen
said “no” but he asked again and again. After Bruce’s third attempt Ellen said “yes!” She loves a
man that will not take “no” for an answer! Ellen says Bruce is still like that today, and she loves
him even more. They thank God for blessing them with each other. They both love GCA and
cherish their memories and the friends that they still have from
their high school days. Attending GCA was truly one of the
happiest times in their lives.

Where They Are Now:
Bruce is currently the Senior Executive Officer for Acute Care
Services at Florida Hospital - West Florida Division, which
includes 12 hospitals at this time. Ellen and Bruce are currently
making their 15th move. This move is from Sebring to Tampa,
Fla. They are very thankful for the lives God has given them.

Their Love Story:
On June 9th, 2013, Trevin got to watch his best friend walk down the aisle towards him
– one of the most extraordinary moments of his life. Dany was the picture of beauty that
day, aglow with the sparkle of a Disney princess. They were surrounded by people they
loved in a place that meant so much to them, the place where it all began – GCA. Six years
before that day, they could never have imagined that the person sitting next to them in Dr.
Harper’s freshmen Bible class would become the person they would want to spend the
rest of their lives with. It was at GCA that they built the foundation of their relationship.
They created many lasting memories together, such as Camerata trips, Afterglow, and sunny
Sabbath afternoons on center campus. Through these experiences and the bonds they had
with the faculty at GCA, they learned that the key to a successful relationship is to always
keep God as the focus. It is this key that has carried them through GCA and beyond,
guiding them in their college experiences, and leading them in their careers, and inspiring
them to build the beautiful marriage they have today.
Where They Are Now:
Trevin and Dany graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga within
the past year. Trevin received a B.S. in psychology. Dany received a B.S. in middle grades
education. They are currently living in Fukuoka, Japan where they are both teaching
English. After a year in Japan, they plan to return to the U.S. to begin working on their
master’s degrees.
