MONDAY 5th MARCH ENTERPRISE WEEK 2018
WHEN CONSUMERS KNOW,
BRANDS GROW!
MINTEL’S WINNER & LOSERS PRESENTATION 2017
2pm - 4pm
GUILDHALL,
DERRY
Mintel’s presentation will assess how ‘information’ is greatly influencing how
consumers are interacting and purchasing food and drink products. It will highlight
the elite communicators/brands in the food industry today and explain ‘what’ they
are doing to ensure they stay ahead of the game. Brian O’Connor (Senior Analyst,
Ireland) will specifically take a look at the following key areas of great importance
to consumers:
• Nutritional information
• Ingredients
• Claims
• Clean label
• Sustainability
Within each of these areas, Mintel will highlight how brands are communicating
different attributes to consumers. Mintel will look specifically at what a ‘successful
brand’ looks like and provide relevant product examples. Mintel will also refer to
brands that are struggling or finding it hard to communicate effectively with their
target markets.
PEOPLE, PRODUCTIVITY & GROWTH
2pm - 4pm
FIRE STATION
HAWKIN STREET
Delivered by the Labour Relations Agency this seminar will seek to explain how people
and a positive employment relations climate are key to increased productivity and an
organisation’s growth. It will also seek to address and allay the concerns that many
smaller organisations have about employing people and the potential issues that
might arise. Critically the seminar will demonstrate how the Labour Relations Agency
can assist start-ups and SME’s who may not have a dedicated HR resource, to put in
place the necessary policies, procedures and contracts of employment.
For many enterprises the biggest challenge is to be able to keep a balance between
delivering and selling. Too often we do one to the neglect of the other, with all too
familiar consequences. This workshop looks
at the sales process and builds on this to
provide practical tools for effectively creating
and implementing a healthy and productive
sales pipeline. This will include a number of
key activities including forecasting, metrics,
qualification, phasing and action planning.
