Seventh-Day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and
holds certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy
Scriptures. These beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church’s
understanding and expression of the teaching of Scripture.
They are meant to permeate your whole life, growing out of
scriptures that paint a compelling portrait of God. You are invited to
explore, experience, and know the One who desires to make us
whole.
7. The Nature of Humanity
Man and woman were made in the image of God with individuality,
the power and freedom to think and to do. Though created free
beings, each is an indivisible unity of body, mind, and spirit,
dependent upon God for life and breath and all else. When our first
parents disobeyed God, they denied their dependence upon Him
and fell from their high position. The image of God in them was
marred and they became subject to death. Their descendants share
this fallen nature and its consequences. They are born with
weaknesses and tendencies to evil. But God in Christ reconciled the
world to Himself and by His Spirit restores in penitent mortals the
image of their Maker. Created for the glory of God, they are called to
love Him and one another, and to care for their environment. (Gen.
1:26-28; 2:7, 15; 3; Ps. 8:4-8; 51:5, 10; 58:3; Jer. 17:9; Acts 17:24-28;
Rom. 5:12-17; 2 Cor. 5:19, 20; Eph. 2:3; 1 Thess. 5:23; 1 John 3:4; 4:7,

theories. Controversy is unprofitable. Christ never entered into it. 'It is written' is
the weapon used by the world's Redeemer. Let us keep close to the Word. Let us
allow the Lord Jesus and His messengers to testify. We know that their

Stewardship Corner
When Jesus wanted to feed 5,000 people, He took the small amount of resources
the disciples had in their possession - five loaves of bread and
two fish - and multiplied this simple meal into a banquet feast. The disciples
believed they didn’t have sufficient resources.
Jesus simply used what they had in their possession to expand His blessings to
thousands. Even if your resources are meager, they can still bless thousands
when Jesus adds His creative energy to your generosity. Most of us have limited
resources, but if we take a look around at all the material, emotional, and
spiritual blessings we enjoy, we’ll see that we can afford to share what we have,
and the results will be remarkable.

Community service Federation is March 9th and 10 th . The
March 9th program will be at New Life SDA Church; March 10th
is at Stratford Memorial SDA Church if you plan on attending
please see Sister Lillie Ward for the dinner after the service
which is $7 and the due date is February 28 th .

Prayer Requests
Sister Melnod Grant will be funeralized at Sharon S.D.A. Church
on Monday, February 26, 2018. Her viewing will be at 10:00 a.m.;
the funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Please continue to pray for
her family as they gather to pay their respects to their beloved
mother, grandmother and great-grandmother along with
her remaining family and friends.
Sister Eugenia Hicks' funeral will be held at Sharon S.D.A. Church
on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Her viewing will be from 9:00
a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by her funeral at 11:00 a.m. Your
continued prayers for her family is requested and appreciated. Her
family has a very large presence in Sharon Church so please, reach
out to as many as possible so not one of them feels left out in any
way. Whatever we do, let us always remember to embrace those
who have lost loved ones. They need to "know" the embrace of
loving church members who are showing the loving kindness of
our Savior toward them.
Sister Genell Taylor needs our prayers. She is sick and shut in and
recently received a significant doctor's report that begs our prayers
and calls to offer her our concern, prayers, and comfort.
Rest assured everyone, our Savior is about to break through
the clouds; not long from now! Let us hold each other
up in prayer and give comfort wherever we can.

Prayer Meeting
Prayer Meeting Prayer Meeting will be held this Wednesday
evening, February 28th at 5:30pm. All are encouraged to
attend to witness the greatest love in Jesus Christ!
Children's Ministries Announcement
Children’s church is postponed until next Sabbath, March 3.
There will be no children’s church this Sabbath, February 24, 2018.
