SELWYN SOUNDS is now locked in as an<br />
iconic event in the district.<br />
It’s on again at Lincoln on Saturday and<br />
congratulations must go to promoter David<br />
Parlane and his team for building on the<br />
success of last year’s festival.<br />
The day benefits the district in terms of profile and spending.<br />
There’s plenty of bars and cafes in the area to head to after – or<br />
before – the gig.<br />
But there’s another big event on Saturday, well for me anyway<br />
– the 23rd Deserthead Classic (golf) at Ellesmere.<br />
It’s so named because a number of the original players were<br />
follicly challenged, me excepted!<br />
Needless to say, I’ve been tearing my hair out over where to be<br />
– golf or <strong>Selwyn</strong> Sounds?<br />
