Leisure An Oasis of Wildlife From derelict allotment to an oasis of wildlife and nature - Wolverton’s Community Orchard. It’s over 15 years since the rubbish was cleared and the site developed. What a transformation! The site now offers an allotment, sensory garden, wildlife area, over 50 varieties of trees and an amazing Dragon Earth Sculpture, created by two local artists and students from the Radcliffe School. There is also a fantastic refurbished Victorian Railway carriage, used during fundraising events. The Community Orchard is open to everyone to enjoy, or join gardening days on Tuesdays from 9.30am-3.00pm (weather permitting) and take a tour to hear about the history of the site. Could you share your skills with the Community Orchard?
