Summary chapter summary The University of Central Florida chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA at UCF) is honored to present our 2017-2018 Annual Report to the American Marketing Association. The past year has been full of growth, not only in membership but in the amount of opportunities offered to these valuable members. AMA at UCF has focused on building its reputation as the most notable marketing organization on campus. Through rigorous outreach focused on our university’s College of Business Administration, our chapter has greatly increased awareness on campus of the opportunities AMA can provide students. This is evident through our increase in membership nearly 50%. A great advantage the UCF chapter has is our proximity to a variety of local businesses and professionals who actively seek to give back to college students. Throughout the year our chapter has provided members with a variety of professional development focused events including professional speakers, site visits of local marketing agencies, and networking opportunities. We have also collaborated with other related clubs including Sales Club, Ad Club, and the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). We have also strengthened our connection with the Orlando chapter of AMA over the past year. We have had members collaborate with the Board of AMA Orlando as well as attend a variety of their events in order to deepen connections with established marketing professionals in our community. Overall we have seen a strong development of the AMA Chapter at UCF through our continued efforts to educate and support students at the University of Central Florida.
