Alpine Swiss Business School has developed into a cruise industry-oriented IT and education systems and training development hub. Our mission is to lead the training, testing and development of crew candidates. Our goal is to get qualified crew members into the right cruise industry positions. Who is leading the ASBS in cruise industry hospitality innovation? Ivan Winterhalder brings years of cruise industry experience to ASBS. Started his cruise career at the age of 18 on board the Aida Cara Ship as 2nd cook. He later continued his on board career as Chef de Partie, Sous Chef and Executive Chef on various ships from Hapag Lloyd to Celebrity Cruises, Radisson Seven Seas and a private Yacht. After deciding to go into administration Ivan studied Business ​ Administration and worked as a Controller for Hotel Adlon in Berlin. In 2007 Ivan embarked on MS Johannes Brahms as a Hotel Manager to continue his career in administration as Assistant Human Resources Manager at River Catering, where he was promoted to Human Resources Manager and later to Director of Human Resources. In 2011 he established the company’s office in Limassol and moved to Cyprus with his entire Human Resources Team and took on the role of Managing Director of the company’s branch in Cyprus. Ivan was later promoted to EVP Human Resources, when River Advice and ISP in Miami merged into FleetPro Passenger Ship Management. At the end of 2015, Ivan was seeking a new challenge and started at Sea Chefs Cruises as EVP Human Resources. In addition to his other tasks, Ivan was also Leader of the Human Resources Group at IG River Cruises, a member of CLIA. 1
