INTRODUCTION The idea behind Tracegenie was the vision of Mr Thinus Smith, our founder, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services domain, In 2010, he started researching the tracing industry. Consultations were held with various stakeholders on the needs of the industry, the way in which tracing was done, the type of systems used and the availability of these systems and tools to the tracing agents. The result was that only the big players have access to proper systems, and only for their own internal use. The vision then became a mission - to make available a user friendly tracing platform that is easy to use and available to any tracing agent, no matter the size of their business. The idea was to move away from spreadsheets. Even with our advanced technology, 80% of tracing is still done on spreadsheets. Our goal is to change that, and to empower and educate the tracing agents and Corporates to better use the technology that is available for the management and monitoring of trace instructions. After three years of research, we started the development of the TraceGenie platform and registered the company in July 2014. We officially launched the platform in March 2015 and went live with our first trace instructions on 01 April 2015. The entire system is a networking platform between: ● the “Supplier” ( Trace Instruction provider) e.g Insurance Companies, Banks, Retailers, Unions, etc - ● “TraceGenie” ( The System or Platform) and ● the Tracing Agents . The aim is to continue building a reliable, well trained network of tracing agents, all having access to the best available technology and systems, to improve the success and performance in tracing processes. We use our sister company, Smarttrace - www.smarttrace.co.za, for data enrichment of all instructions. Smarttrace has access to 60 million consumer records from various Credit Bureaux, including confirmed deceased details. The TraceGenie services include electronic data matching and telephone verification process.
OVERVIEW TraceGenie is an online platform that allows you to upload any trace instructions. We have approved a network of highly skilled tracing agents, spread countrywide, each having their own unique tracing tools and methods. We currently have a network of 125 tracing agents, specialising in Beneficiary Tracing, Debtor/Person Tracing, Employment Tracing, Director Tracing to mention but a few. Once the instruction is loaded (individual or bulk), it is available for the trace agents to claim. We have managing processes in place to ensure immediate action is taken on the instructions. Data and results are guaranteed for 45 days for normal tracing and 60 days for beneficiary tracing. The system is live and in real time, enabling you to track the progress of your instructions on a daily basis. You will receive a daily update on all completed trace instructions. What sets us apart from other tracing companies and/or agents? Our system, which is fully cloud-based and available 24/7. You have full access to the instructions in real time. We only return a trace instruction as unsuccessful once all avenues have been exhausted. Our system will automatically reallocate a “no trace” to three different trace agents to re confirm before returning the instruction as a “no trace”. Only once an instruction is marked as a no trace by 3 or more agents, will we return it to you as a no trace. This ensures that you always get the best possible results. All tracing is done on a No Trace No Fee basis.
