“DISOVERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD WITHIN YOU” LUKE 17:21
The Apostolic Dimension is therefore the MEASURE of
the apostolic anointing that is flowing through an
individual believer or corporate assembly. To get us on
one accord, and be able to identify the apostolic
dimension we need to know the characteristics of the
apostolic ministry.
Many of these characteristics can be found in the book of
Acts. The apostolic anointing is the dominant anointing
throughout the entire book. These distinguishing marks
are what we refer to as the Apostolic Seal. If the apostolic
dimension is lacking in a church, it will lack a necessary
ingredient for success.
This dimension is available and can be received through
impartation (1Tim 4:14). The ministry gift of the apostle
has been given to the church to release an apostolic
dimension to all of God’s people (Eph 4:8). When we
receive the ministry of the apostle we will receive the
apostolic dimension.
Apostles or “SENT ONES” are given all sorts of
governmental power and authority over kingdom
building, governmental structure, sickness,
diseases and demons.
These are some distinguishing marks of a apostolic
ministry (Acts 1:8). Healing the sick and casting
out demons will result when churches receive and
honor apostles. From here the churches can begin
to walk in apostolic dimensions like never before.
This is the reason why demons hate and oppose
the apostolic anointing (Mark 3:13-15). Our
churches cannot afford to stay in the discipleship
mode. In other words, the church cannot stay in a
place of always learning but never doing. (2Ti 3:7)
This is why Apostles must receive and walk in the
power and authority of one who is sent.
Obviously we will always be teachable by the Lord
Jesus. Nonetheless, we cannot be limited to just
being disciples.
The Apostolic Dimension
An apostolic church is a church that has a strong
apostolic dimension. A dimension is defined as the
measurement in length, width, and thickness. It is
the proportion, extent, range, scope, or weight of
a thing.
This does not make every pastor an apostle, but everyone
can be apostolic. When this and other churches become
apostolic, there will be breakthroughs that were not
possible before. There will be an ability to do things that
previously could not be done. This is because of apostolic
grace that is released and received through apostolic
ministry (Romans 1: 11).
Grace gives us an ability to accomplish what we have
been called and sent to do (Eph 4: 7-8). For example,
some local churches are strong in evangelism, but weak
in the prophetic. A church can be strong in the
prophetic, but weak in evangelism.
Churches can be strong in teaching, but weak in the
prophetic. Churches will usually reflect the strength of
its apostle or pastors because they are receiving their
dimensions from the leaders. If the apostle or pastor is a
strong teacher, the church will have a strong teaching
dimension and so on, and so forth.
The Apostolic Seal
1Cor 9:2 If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless
I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the
Lord.
The apostolic seal is a visible sign, mark, or symbol that
serves as evidence of a true apostolic ministry.
