GOVERNMENT ENHANCING OUR community HIGH LINE CANAL CONSERVANCY SPRING OPEN HOUSES IN APRIL In April 2017, the High Line Canal Conservancy unveiled its Community Vision Plan for the High Line Canal, a plan that outlines a set of guiding principles advocating that the Canal remain a natural, connected and continuous, varied, managed and enhanced resource for the region. To create the Community Vision Plan, the High Line Canal Conservancy spoke with thousands of people that were passionate about preserving the historic 71-mile High Line Canal. The Community Vision Plan has been the critical first step to ensuring the Canal reaches its greatest potential as an environmental, recreational, social, historic and economic asset. As part of the ongoing effort to ensure High Line Canal planning is reflective of the Community Vision Plan, the High Line Canal Conservancy will hold two community Open Houses this spring for public input as the Conservancy works to present the Framework Plan. Spring Open Houses are scheduled as follows: Tuesday, April 10; 4:30-7:30 pm Location: Goodson Recreation Center Thursday, April 26; 4:30-7:30 pm Location: Aurora Public Library To view the full Vision Plan, visit: Here’s how to get involved: • Be a High Line Hero. • Participate in the upcoming summer walking programs including mile 0 to 71 with Walk2Connect: • Sign up for monthly updates through the High Line Canal newsletter. • Follow the High Line Canal’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). • Visit the High Line Canal Conservancy’s website to learn more: GV WILLIAM MCKINLEY CARSON SKATEPARK FINAL DESIGN PRESENTATION TUESDAY, MARCH 27, 6:30-8 P.M. BUSINESS MEMBER spotlight DR. KYLE GRIFFITH Membership in the Denver Tech Center Chamber of Commerce has been a very valuable experience for me, professionally, as well as personally. I initially questioned whether joining the Chamber would be a wise allocation of my time as I have a young family, in addition to my dedication to building my dental practice. I need not have worried as my experience has been nothing but positive! I took part in the Young Professionals’ Mentoring Program and was matched with an incredible mentor. It has been great to partner with someone who can provide guidance, insight, and act as a sounding board. The time I’ve spent at the Young Professionals’ events and Chamber board meetings has also been productive. I find it fascinating to learn in-depth about other peoples’ professions and the challenges they are overcoming. In just a short time, new relationships have blossomed and provided me with the opportunity to help several Chamber members pursue the goal of a smile that looks good, feels good, and lasts a long time. In the future, if I have business needs, the first people I will look to for assistance will be the friends and professional contacts that have been made through the Chamber. GV Dr. Kyle Griffith graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Biology. Prior to his acceptance into dental school, Dr. Griffith was a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program through the United States Army. Dr. Griffith attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, and was awarded the Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree while graduating within the top 10 percent of the matriculating class. After dental school, Dr. Griffith went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Hood, Texas. This two-year program consisted of didactic and clinical training in the various dental specialties. Dr. Griffith graduated as the top U.S. resident within the program. After dental residency, Dr. Griffith completed his MBA through Oklahoma State University. Dr. Griffith knows that the better he can run his business, the higher quality healthcare his patients ultimately receive. ONLINE TAX FILING AND REMITTANCE COMING SOON!
