Headteacher and Principal Induction

Empowering Uniqueness

Induction Overview Your induction programme will last one year. However, the first 6 months will be the formal probationary period. Your induction will be spilt into 5 elements. All the 5 elements are intertwined and co-dependent and form an Aurora Headteacher or Principal when they merge and come together. Element 1 You will be allocated a mentor with significant Headship or Principal experience. Element 2 You will complete the mandatory training that we expect all staff at Aurora to have achieved within their first three weeks. Element 3 You will receive highly specialised training relevant to the needs of the children and young people within your environment. Element 4 You will attend a programme of half termly sessions covering key aspects of school leadership and management. Element 5 You will be given a link to an e-directory providing important information including key contacts, checklists, regulatory frameworks, services available to you and signposting to useful documentation.
