ARTS AND RECREATION ART & REC programs Register online at WINTER’S GLOW For the third year in a row, hundreds of Greenwood Village community members flocked to the Curtis Center for the Arts for Winter’s Glow. This magical winter event featured live ice carvings, fire dancers, inflatable sculptures, interactive light displays and lots of activities for the kids. Inside the Curtis Center attendees enjoyed the newest exhibit “Open Space,” while sipping on champagne. Thanks to all of those who attended. EARTH DAY PLANNED AT CURTIS CENTER, CURTIS PARK Join the Curtis Center for the Arts as we celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will kick off with a tree panting at 10 a.m. From 10 a.m.-12 p.m. join us for breakfast with the artists featured in the newest exhibit “Our Planet.” The exhibit features local artists exploring issues regarding our changing planet with the objective of connecting art to the environment. From 12-2 p.m. Curtis Park will be filled with music and lots of Earth-friendly, hands-on art activities for the kids. ARTS AND RECREATION THE CURTIS CENTER FOR THE ARTS IS NOW AVAILABLE TO RENT The Curtis Center for the Arts is available to rent for private functions and special events. Birthday parties, anniversaries, wedding rehearsals, client events, the Curtis Center creates a unique environment for your next occasion. The gallery can accommodate up to 100 guests looking to enjoy a sophisticated ambiance with artwork providing an elegant backdrop. Use the caterer of your choice or pick from our list of recommended providers. Amenities include: a full kitchen to stage food service, ample parking, tables and chairs available for rent and an artistic atmosphere. Rates start at $150 per hour with a two hour minimum. Individuals must be at least 14 years or older. The position requires an individual who enjoys working with kids and knowledge of adult sport rules.
