CAMPS NEW CAMP FAIRY HABITATS Come to this class where you will not be building just any old Fairy Garden, but a living, growing garden. This will be a mystical place where fantasies are born. Your tiny fairy will have a place to visit, relax, and stay a while, The instructor will provide a glass terrariun, dirt, moss, glass, tiny rocks, tiny furniture and accessories. This will be a high-end home for your favorite fairy. Students will be introduced to the basics of JavaScript and electronic components from the resistors, LEDs, to servo motors, and sensors. Lessons are based on a NEW comic book series that will engage your child in learning not just the technology, but other fun facts about the components and their function in today’s devices. Each child will bring home an entire PodPi Kit with Arduino board, a bread board, LEDs, sensors, servos, potentiometers, buttons, wires. and magazines with information on further use of the kit. NEW CAMP YOGI CAMP This summer camp provides children with a fun, creative, educational, and enriching experience through yoga movement classes, mindfulness activities, relaxation, games, crafts, and outdoor time. AGE 5-9 LOCATION Canyon View Community Center, Sunset Room INSTRUCTOR Michelle Hollis FEE $80 Resident | $85 Non-Resident NOTES Yoga mat and water are needed. ACTIVITY # SESSION DAYS TIME 8060 S1 7/10-7/13 M-Th 9-11am PRINCESS/SUPER HERO CAMP This camp gives your child a chance at pure imagination. Princesses and Super Heroes will have a chance to choose which costumes they would like to create. Accessories will be made to go with the costumes (crowns, capes, etc.…). The last day of camp, we will have a celebration party. CAMPS ACTIVITY # SESSION DAYS TIME 2251 S1 6/19-6/23 M-F 12-2pm Auburn Skate Park Perfect for both beginners working on the basics and advanced skaters who want to improve their skills. Helmets, knee and elbow pads are required. Adjacent to Overlook Park Open from dawn to dusk. THEATER CAMP Does your child have a dramatic side? Do they like to sing or dance? This camp will give each child a chance at memorizing lines and more. Children will help with backdrops and costume making. The last day the class will put on a show for friends and family. ACTIVITY # SESSION DAYS TIME 2243 S1 6/12-6/16 M-F 12-2pm BABYSITTING CAMP This camp introduces the basics of babysitting, focusing on several important aspects of the job including: child/infant safety, overview of first aid, rights and laws, bag-o-tricks discipline, positive reinforcement, business etiquette, and pay rate. A certificate of completion will be provided on the last day of instruction. Bring a folder and paper and pencil.
