CHOOSING CAT SAFE PLANTS Our hooman parents love flowers - so do we! but let's be mindful that not all of our Valentine favourites are safe for cats. Meowmy is always delighted to come home to a bouquet of fresh flowers, and I love them too! Along the years, we've learnt which flowers however have no place in our cat home. Fortunately, roses are safe for cats, as long as you don't let them get too close: the thorns may not be toxic but they sure do leave scratches! Orchids are another classic flower for the chic lady and prestine home. They come in a variety of colours now and are a very popular plant -despite difficult to keep healthy - and typically are gifted in a planted pot rather than cut.Finally, Gerberas are fun flowers. THE CAT BOOK OF THE MONTH: Starting this month, we pick a book that we believe all cat lovers will love. This month our hearts beat for the tender feelgood story of a man's journey around Japan with a streetcat, "The Travelling Cat Chronicles". Translated by Philip Gabriel, a translator of Murakami.
