But now, in their prime earning years and far more likely to have families, Gen Xers are back. In fact, Gen Xers are the largest generation that has children still living at home, according to Jessica Lautz, director of survey research for the National Association of Realtors. And they also happen to be the group making the most money these days. Here’s what’s new in new homes: Luxury in Cottleville courtesy of Fischer & Frichtel Fischer & Frichtel is gearing up to introduce the firm’s newest neighborhood in Cottleville. Nearly 200 prospective homebuyers already have joined the priority list – and there’s still time for latecomers to register for details. The neighborhood entrance is situated on the north side of Hwy. N, just east of Dardenne Farms Drive. Recently voted 2017’s “Best Homebuilder in St. Charles County,” Fischer & Frichtel is featuring nine ranch, 1.5-story and twostory designs from its top-of-the-line Estate Collection. Jim Horton, community sales manager for Cottleville Trail, explained that the neighborhood’s expansive home settings and desirable location in historic Cottleville have been major attractions as has the topranked Fort Zumwalt schools nearby. Among the upscale, price-included amenities are three-car, side-entry garages; James Hardie siding; wide-plank wood flooring; direct-vent fireplaces and luxury appliances.
