Call today for a quote! 30 LLC THE FIVE LOVE LANGUAGES Cornerstone United Methodist Church will be offering to the community a study on Gary Chapman’s renown “The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts” starting on Tuesday, April 10 th at 7-8:15 PM. This study reveals how different people express love in different ways and contains the key to understanding each other’s unique needs. What speaks love to you may be meaningless to your spouse. Apply the right principles, learn the right language and soon you’ll know the profound satisfaction and joy of being able to express your love and feel truly loved in return. Each week the group will view a teaching by Dr. Chapman and have the opportunity to discuss the principles taught both in the small group and with your spouse. Singles are also welcome as there will be opportunity to apply the teaching to relationships with children, parents and other significant people in one’s life. Classes will last for 75 minutes and a nursery for preschool children will be available by advanced reservation. Each participant will need a small-group study book, which can be purchased from the church. The cost is $10 per book. Note: Vacation Bible School will be June 11 th -15 th . St. Cuthbert Church St. Cuthbert Episcopal Church welcomes all to come worship with us during Holy Week: PALM SUNDAY, MARCH 25 TH : at 8 AM and 10:30 AM with Holy Communion and the Liturgy of the Palms. Palm Sunday remembers Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. MAUNDY THURSDAY, MARCH 29 TH : at 7 PM with Holy Communion and the Stripping of the Altar. This service commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. GOOD FRIDAY, MARCH 30 TH : at 9:30 AM we will meet at Goforth Park, 9118 Wheat Cross Drive, to walk the Stations of the Cross. During this time, we will recall the series of events at the end of Jesus’ life from his condemnation to his burial. All ages are welcome. At 7 PM, at the church, there will be a Good Friday Liturgy with Communion from the reserve sacrament. EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 1 ST : we invite everyone to celebrate the risen Lord! Holy Communion and baptisms at 8 AM and Holy Communion at 10:30 AM. After each service there will be an Easter Egg hunt for all children. We are the closest synagogue within 25 miles of the nearest synagogue. Many thought that they were the only Jews in the Cypress area, but it turns out that they were wrong! Singing in a children’s choir is a great way to help that. The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Schola Cantorum is currently accepting children Grades 4-12 for its after-school choir program. The choir is responsible for enriching the Mass on 10:30 on Sundays and rehearses every Wednesday from 3:45-5 PM. Unique in the area, the choir focuses on singing music from the rich Catholic tradition, including chant and polyphony, as well as the finest modern church music. Time is devoted to building the children’s skills of music reading, vocal technique, thinking about the words and the structure and meaning of the Mass. The vision and desire of English Gateway is to assist international families in learning and improving English skills to help them live and be successful here in the United States. We offer 6 different levels and have open registration throughout the CFISD school year. Childcare is available for free for pre-school children as long as they are registered beforehand.
