CONTINUING TRADITION

CONTINUING TRADITION “THE HISTORIC BUILDING WAS BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE.”

THE NEW ADDITION For the modern expansion side of the project, the team designed a 60,000 square foot multi-use space with state of the art labs and classrooms. The new building’s exterior colors are a lasting tribute to the Granite, Brownstone, and Red Brick of the original. The two sides are connected by a beautiful atrium where the past and future coexist. “One of the main design challenges was to create a new building next to an old building, in a seamless way. The design strategy that we chose to solve that problem was to create a space where the previous exterior wall becomes an interior wall. “ LIVING HISTORY “People get very excited about being able to get up next to a historic facade, and touching the brick and the windows. That’s very exciting and brings life to the building that you basically cannot do with a purely new building.” The story of South College is that of a continuing tradition and new life, with the building once again a thriving central part of campus. EXPERIENCE A VISION BECOMES A REALITY MARVIN I THE DIFFERENCE IS OUR EXPERTISE
