FINDING THE RIGHT

FINDING THE RIGHT PARTNERS With a building design of this complexity, and the windows playing such a central role in the overall design, choosing the right window and door manufacturing partner was crucial. Mark Herter explains. “One of the challenges was trying to select a manufacturer that could meet all the challenging needs of a historic structure, of a residential package which was quite large and varied, and then a small commercial package in the small Gunn buildings.“ Before long, the team from Centerbrook was having conversations with Tim Kuehn, a project manager in the Architectural division at Marvin Windows and Doors. Having had a successful track record on several projects, Tim was excited to work with the team again. “When we first looked at the plans and the specifications, there were some unique shapes that our Round Top department would have had to develop and make. Light Cuts were also key in the design as well. So it was really about taking the architect’s design and bringing it to life in the building.” EXPERIENCE A VISION BECOMES A REALITY MARVIN I THE DIFFERENCE IS OUR EXPERTISE
