Planes of Fame Air Museum presents the<br />

Planes of Fame Air Show on May 5-6<br />

featuring over 40 historic aircraft, including<br />

P-47 Thunderbolts, P-38 Lightnings, and P-51<br />

Mustangs flying for your enjoyment. Join in<br />

honoring the history, contributions, and sacrifices<br />

of our Veterans.<br />

Performers include: A-10 Thunderbolt and<br />

Heritage Flight; Sean D. Tucker Team Oracle<br />

Aerobatics; World’s fastest piston engine aircraft<br />

P-51 Mustang Voodoo; N9MB Flying Wing<br />

Demo; Pacific, European, Korean and Vietnam<br />

flight displays; Sanders Sea Fury Aerobatics;<br />

Gregory “Wired” Colyer T-33 Aerobatics; and<br />

Rob Harrison the Tumbling Bear.<br />

There will be a Kids Zone, static displays,<br />

food, vendors, and more.<br />

In addition to many other fantastic airplanes<br />

that will be performing and on static display,<br />

there will be a special panel discussion with<br />

honored veterans.<br />

The Planes of Fame Air Museum is located<br />

at Historic Cal Aero Field in Chino. The Planes<br />

of Fame Air Museum was founded in 1957 by<br />

Edward Maloney. It is the oldest independently<br />

operated aviation museum in the United States.<br />

The museum collection spans the history of<br />

manned flight from the Wright Flyer to the space<br />

age Apollo Capsule.They house over 150 aircraft<br />

and displays. Many of the Aircraft are flyable,<br />

including the P-51 Mustang, F4U Corsair, P-47<br />

Thunderbolt, P-40 Warhawk, B-25 Mitchell,<br />

P-38 Lightning, F-86 Sabre, and Russian Mig 15.<br />

The museum’s mission is to preserve aviation<br />

history, inspire interest in aviation, educate the<br />

public, and honor aviation pioneers and veterans.<br />

The Air Show takes place Saturday and Sunday<br />

May 5-6 from 8am to 4pm.<br />
