Returns, May 5-6
Planes of Fame Air Museum presents the
Planes of Fame Air Show on May 5-6
featuring over 40 historic aircraft, including
P-47 Thunderbolts, P-38 Lightnings, and P-51
Mustangs flying for your enjoyment. Join in
honoring the history, contributions, and sacrifices
of our Veterans.
Performers include: A-10 Thunderbolt and
Heritage Flight; Sean D. Tucker Team Oracle
Aerobatics; World’s fastest piston engine aircraft
P-51 Mustang Voodoo; N9MB Flying Wing
Demo; Pacific, European, Korean and Vietnam
flight displays; Sanders Sea Fury Aerobatics;
Gregory “Wired” Colyer T-33 Aerobatics; and
Rob Harrison the Tumbling Bear.
There will be a Kids Zone, static displays,
food, vendors, and more.
In addition to many other fantastic airplanes
that will be performing and on static display,
there will be a special panel discussion with
honored veterans.

The Planes of Fame Air Museum is located
at Historic Cal Aero Field in Chino. The Planes
of Fame Air Museum was founded in 1957 by
Edward Maloney. It is the oldest independently
operated aviation museum in the United States.
The museum collection spans the history of
manned flight from the Wright Flyer to the space
age Apollo Capsule.They house over 150 aircraft
and displays. Many of the Aircraft are flyable,
including the P-51 Mustang, F4U Corsair, P-47
Thunderbolt, P-40 Warhawk, B-25 Mitchell,
P-38 Lightning, F-86 Sabre, and Russian Mig 15.
The museum’s mission is to preserve aviation
history, inspire interest in aviation, educate the
public, and honor aviation pioneers and veterans.
The Air Show takes place Saturday and Sunday
May 5-6 from 8am to 4pm.
