His performances as a popular platform artist and educator are filled with smart soundbites, useful information and quick easy techniques for the salon, all delivered in his fun irreverent style. Charlie has had his photo work published world wide and has collaborated with Haircare manufacturers such as Aveda, Revlon Professional, TIGI, Roux, Rusk and now he is the International Creative Consultant for Scruples Haircare. He is a two time NAHA North American Hairstylist of the Year award winner in 2002 and 2008 (the first American to do so), the first ever NAHA People’s Choice award winner in 2011 (he has a career total of 23 NAHA nominations) and he was named Canadian Mirror Awards International Hairstylist of the Year in 2007 (a title which he has been nominated for 6 times). Charlie trained under runway hair masters Guido, Serge Normant and Eugene Souleiman in Milan on fashion shows such as Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and miu miu, and in NYC on fashion shows such as DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs. Charlie also made a memorable appearance IMAGE as is the EVERYTHING villain on Shear Genius 2 for Bravo TV which aired 4 in 22 countries. STAGE RAUL MARTEZ HATTORI HANZO ITELY HAIRFASHION SUNDAY 12:00pm - 12:40pm At 16 years of age, Raul Martez launched his career in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and within two years became an award-winning hair designer, including three years as Master Educator for John Paul Mitchell System. A native New Yorker, Raul’s first expousure to haircutting was his father’s barber shop, where he began learning the trade at the age of seven. Developing a passion for innovation, Raul’s dedication to the art of hair design quickly became evident. His travels to Central and South America have impacted some of these countries’ leading hair designers. “I believe one must be a student for life” SUNDAY 1:00pm - 1:40pm Monday 12:20pm - 1:00pm Justin Thomas, “the prodigy”, is platform artist and international artistic director for Hattori Hanzo Shears. Justin is progressively changing our industry with his unmatched style and aggression to bend the fundamental rules of hairdressing. Taylor has enjoyed a successful career working with Sassoon in Scotland, New York, California, and Cincinnati. Taylor incorporates fundamentals and foundation of cutting, long hairdressing and styling which brings confidence and creativity to her work. Nick’s Trombetta’s innovative color techniques have been featured in international forums and magazines. He recently received the honor of “Best Hair Colorist of Westchester County” in New York, by The Westchester Magazine. Nick’s other passions include music, art and writing.
