MegaTamir K Yapısal Cement Based Structural Repair Mortar With Thick Filling PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Cement based structural repair mortar with polymer and fiber additive and with thick aggregate, which is resistant to temperature changes. AREAS OF USE MegaTamir K Yapısal is used along with MegaFilm AK in indoors and outdoors spaces, especially on underground, ground and underwater floors of all buildings, which are required to be sulfate and chlorine resistant, for waterproofing and beveling prior to final coating, for repair, for surface smoothing, and for the repair of the concrete and appurtenances, which may have been damaged due to abrasion by iron reinforcements. MegaTamir K Yapısal yields excellent results particularly in the case of beveling applications and the filling of rod clearances and drilling core gaps. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Application Surfaces Indoors and Outdoors Floors; - Cement based trowel coating - Concrete (MegaFilm or MegaFilm BB primer applied) Indoors and Outdoors Walls; - Cement based plaster (MegaFilm primer applied) - Concrete (MegaFilm or MegaFilm BB primer applied) Ceilings; - Cement based plaster - Concrete (MegaFilm or MegaFilm BB primer applied) Surface Preparation Concrete Surfaces; • The application surfaces should be dry, clean, sound and dust free, and should have been cleansed of oil, dirt or any materials that may prevent adhesion, and any such materials as mortar and cement residues should be scraped from the application surface. • Upon the completion of the surface cleaning, MegaFilm primer should be applied in a single coat with a brush and be left to dry for 1 to 2 hours in order to enhance the bonding strength and stabilize the surface absorption. • Exposed concrete surfaces should be applied MegaFilm BB exposed concrete primer in single coat and be left to dry for minimum 3 hours prior to the application of the adhesive mortar in order to enhance the adhesion strength. Iron Reinforcements; • Any rust on iron reinforcements, if applicable, should be cleaned. • Two coats of MegaFilm AK should be applied with a brush on the iron reinforcement, and MegaTamir K Yapısal should be applied subsequently before the primer dries. Application Methods • MegaTamir K Yapısal should be applied in equal thickness on all surfaces to be repaired or smoothed. • The surface should be finished with a moist sponge or a smoothing trowel following the application. Application Recommendations • The product should, once mixed, be used before the expiration of its pot life. Any product, the pot life of which has expired, should not be used during the application. • Any such foreign substance as lime, cement or plaster should not be added to the mortar prepared. • Any extra water should not be added to the mixture. • The product should not be applied on unsound surfaces. The soundness and the load bearing capacity of old surfaces should be checked prior to adhesion. • The surface should be preserved from air currents and water contact during and after the application. • The product should not be applied to such surfaces, which are exposed to risk of freezing within the next 24 hours, which are frozen or the frost of which is thawing. • Due care should be taken to ensure that the material is not exposed to direct sunlight in hot weather conditions, and the product should be mixed with cold water. • The product should not be applied on extremely windy weather conditions or on hot surfaces, which are exposed to direct sunlight; and in the cases, where application is imperative under such conditions, the environment and the surface should be prepared for application in advance. • The product should not be applied in rainy weather conditions, and the application surface should be preserved from rain for a period of 24 hours. • Refer to our technical support hotline for recommendation on different surface applications. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Mixing Ratio The product should be mixed with water, weighing equal to 22 - 24 % of the product. (5.0 - 6.0 liters of water for a 25 kg package) Mixing Equipment • Low speed electrical mixer (400 cycles/min.) • Special tip stirring equipment Mixing Period The product should be stirred with a low-speed mixer until any dry dust and globs are eliminated. The mortar should, then, be stirred once again for 1 to 2 minutes after being had settled for 2 to 3 minutes following preparation. Application Equipment • Steel trowel • Smoothing trowel or moist sponge Maximum 30 minutes 2 - 30 mm Maximum 15 mm (single coat) 2 - 3 hours Minimum 24 hours Equipment Cleaning The equipment used should be cleaned with water following the application before the mortar dries. PACKAGING MegaTamir K Yapısal is delivered in net 25 kg kraft bags, which are stowed in 54 pcs. on a 80 cm x 100 cm palette (1350 kg). SHELF LIFE The shelf life of the product is 12 months when stored within non tampered original packaging in dry (maximum relative humidity 60 %) and cool (ambient temperature between +5°C and +25°C) environment. STORAGE CONDITIONS The product should be stored within non tampered original packaging in dry (maximum relative humidity 60 %) and cool (ambient temperature between +5°C and +25°C) environment. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The container of the product should be closed firmly when not used. MegaTamir Grout Cement Based, Highly Resistant Fluid Grout Mortar PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Cement based, highly resistant fluid structural grout mortar, which does not cause contraction. AREAS OF USE MegaTamir Grout can be used for steel and prefabricated structures, for the foundations of machines and cranes, foundation sockets, curtain walls, column headings, and for the assemblage to the foundation of steel columns. It is also used for the filling of any gaps, holes and pores for the purpose of the assemblage of railway bearings, precast structural columns, concrete anchorages, structural bearing plates, gas and steam turbines, power generators, compressors, press machines and lathe workbenches and drilling machines. It is suitable for use on horizontal surfaces in indoors and outdoors spaces. The water on the surface should be removed, where necessary, with compressed air. Application Methods • MegaTamir Grout should be cast from one side of the mold, taking care not to cause the formation of air bubbles. (Mortar with air bubbles will preclude full contact bonding to the surface.) • The mortar is recommended to be cast from a certain height in order to ensure the fluidity of the mortar in the case of base plate applications. (The mortar is recommended to the consumed within 15 minutes for maximum performance.) • The recommended maximum thickness for the bonding of precast concrete elements and fixed structural bearings is 6 cm. The mortar should be ensured to reach hardly reachable spots with the use of a metal or wooden rod.
