Lolita
PAWS Chicago North Shore
Lolita is a unique 9-month-old
Whippet mix. Her beautiful
eyes make her so special
and it’s impossible to look away – one eye is blue
and the other a dark brown. If her looks don’t catch
your attention, her sweet quite personality sure will.
Notorious for giving warm kisses, Lolita will steal
your heart after one cuddle session. She’d love to
find a home where she can go on nice walks in the
neighborhood and say hi to the passersby.
Lolita, along with many cats and dogs, is available for
adoption at the PAWS Chicago North Shore Adoption
Diana G. Villa, 20, of
Skokie, and Alyssa I. Velez,
20, of Chicago, were both
arrested and charged with
misdemeanor theft following
an incident at 4:57 p.m.
March 13 in the 1500 block
of Forest Avenue in WIlmette.
Officers responded
to the area for a reported
package theft. A witness
observed a subject take
a package from the front
door of a home and enter
a waiting gray Jeep with a
partial plate of “AL” before
leaving the scene.
Wilmette officers
stopped the suspect vehicle
near Harvard and Lake
Avenue in Wilmette. The
vehicle was occupied by
Villa and Velez. During the
subsequent investigation,
officers located proceeds
from the package theft inside
the suspects’ vehicle.
A witness positively identified
Velez as one of the
offenders in the theft. Villa
and Velez were taken into
custody, transported to Wilmette
Police. During the
following investigation officers
found proceeds from
another package theft that
occurred at another Forest
Avenue home about the
same time. Both subjects
admitted their involvement
in the thefts and were each
charged with two counts of
misdemeanor theft.
