KATY RESIDENT RAISES MONEY TO HELP SCHOOLS,
CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS
For four years, Katy resident Dorothy Sanchez has worked to raise money in the
hopes of helping local schools, clubs and organizations thrive. This year not only
marked Sanchez’s fifteenth Scentsy fundraiser but her most successful one yet. In
December, Sanchez presented Kelsey Peltier a check for $2,050.49 to go toward
the Theatre Department at Poly Ryon Middle School. Peltier, the school’s theatre
teacher incorporated the Scentsy fundraiser into an assignment for her theatre
students who were able to raise the money in just two weeks.
Mrs. Sanchez is a Scentsy Director who believes in one of Scentsy’s values, “Give
More Than You Take.” She donates part of her commissions to build up the community.
In her four years of holding fundraisers, she has been able to donate more
than $50,000.
