are hosting the Literary & Fine Arts Festival & Parade in partnership with Katy
SummerFest at the Cinco Ranch Branch Library located at 2620 Commercial
Center Drive in Katy.
• An essay and art contest for participating students in Fort Bend ISD, Katy
ISD and Lamar CISD campuses within Precinct 3. All contestants are chosen
by their participating campus teachers.
• Best of Show scholarship prizes will be awarded in each category which
will include an art contest - one for elementary, one for junior high and one
for high school and an essay contest - one for K-2 nd grades, one for 3 rd -5 th
grades and one for 6 th -8 th grades.
• Judges Choice award winners will receive prizes through our generous
sponsors.
• Cutest Character Parade - children ages 2 to 10 come dressed up in their
favorite book characters and are led through LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch by a
Sherriff’s motorcycle, high school drumline, drill team members, cheerleaders,
KVPAC, Katy ISD theatre kids, high school mascots and the Chick-fil-A
cow. Parade registration is open from 10:30-11 AM at the library and the
parade begins promptly at 11 AM.
• Live performances by high school choirs.
Also there will be: Summer Camp Vendors, Bounce House, Obstacle Course,
Photo Booth, Face Painting, Balloon Twister, Mad Science Demo and make
and take.

Held at the American Shooting Center, 16500 Westheimer Pkwy. This event
helps raise money to help send our FFA students to district, state and national
Leadership and Career Development competitions, the Texas FFA
State Convention as well as providing educational tools for our FFA teachers.
In the past, teams of four from our school, family teams, local business
teams and community teams have signed up for this competition. We also
provide online registration and payment options for this event. For more

The Fulshear Area Chamber of Commerce presents the City Candidate Meet
and Greet at the Irene Stern Community Center located at 6920 Katy-Fulshear
Rd., Fulshear, TX 77441. The event starts at 6:30 PM on both dates listed above.
Candidates will introduce themselves and provide opening remarks. Candidates
will leave stage and position themselves in a predetermined area
of the room to make themselves available to answer questions one on one
with anyone interested in asking them.
