If God hasn’t chastised us, we are none of his. If God
hasn’t tried us, we are none of his. If we haven’t
suffered for the cause of Christ, we are none of his.
Every Christian shall suffer persecution, every Christian
will be chastened of the Lord, and every Christian will
be tried of God. It takes a crown of thorns to inherit a
crown of life. Christ did, his apostles did, and so will we
if we belong to God, for the servant is not above his
Master. This is how the world shall know who belongs
to God, and who belongs to the world. If being a
Christian were easy, most everyone would be saved. Be
the called, the chosen, and the faithful, and rejoice that
the mighty hand of God is upon you, that you might be
found genuine and may result in praise, glory and
honour at the appearing of Jesus Christ
RUN THE RACE WELL
President’s Message
In 1924, Eric Liddel mesmerized the world by winning the Olympics gold medal in
the 400metres-an event he was not expected to win. Eric, a Scottish athlete was Britain’s
favourite for the 100metres but he had withdrawn from that race after learning that the
qualifying heats would be on a Sunday, a day he had set aside for worship and rest.
Criticisms were leveled against him. He had missed a once in a lifetime chance. However,
instead of lamenting a lost chance, Eric spent the next six months training for the 400
metres He, then ran in this event and set a new Olympic record.
Paul in 1 Cor 9:27 used a sports metaphor to emphasise a Christian’s need for
spiritual discipline. As children of God we are expected to “press on to reach the end of
the race…” (Phil 3:14 )To press on we need to sharpen our spiritual tools or take time to
oil our machinery. We must take time to pray, fast, feed on His word, abide in him,
fellowship with believers, share the good news and be holy. When our Lord Jesus Himself
kept in touch with the Heavenly Father through daily prayer and meditation to carry out
His ministry on earth how much more we should work on them too.
I believe during the Lenten season many of you were fasting and praying. Praise
be to God for this pursuit of yours. I would like to urge all of you to continue this spiritual
journey. Run with a purpose. Run with a sense of commitment. Like the people of God
pledged in Neh 10 :29 ‘enter into…an oath to walk in God’s law…and to observe and do
all the commandments of the Lord our Lord”
Don’t let anything stop you from running the race well. Do not be contented
with the outward religious activities-the ‘makans’, the meetings or the showy works that
so often crowd the church calendar. You can participate in them and be enriched. But,
remember they can never substitute the deep inner working of the Holy Spirit that
comes through genuine surrender, seeking and sacrifice.
May God empower us to run according to the rules and receive the heavenly
prize that He has for all of us.
Blessed Resurrection Sunday to all of you. He lives!
In His Love,
THE POWER, THE HOPE AND THE WONDER OF EASTER
The miraculous event of Easter changed ordinary
men into dynamos exhibiting joy, boldness and
supernatural power. Can Easter change our daily
lives too? I believe it should. There is much to be
learnt from the lives of three of Jesus’disciples-
Thomas, John and Simon Peter.
Thomas, the skeptic, wanted proof: rock solid
evidence. Jesus, in His compassion, gave him just
that. He said, “ reach out your hand and put it
into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
Thomas reply was, “My Lord and my God” (John
20:27-28). Jesus was no longer his teacher.
Doubting Thomas became convinced that Christ
was God himself, His Lord and Master. Thomas
preached the gospel fearlessly and faithfully to
the ends of the earth. Historians tell that the old
apostle was stabbed with a spear in 72 A.D. while
in prayer on a hill in Mylapur, India. We don’t
have to wonder about Jesus or touch His nailpierced
hands and His wounded side. His
resurrection proves we can follow Him as our
Lord and God. His power becomes our power.
Let us not be wimpy Christians anymore. Jesus is
bigger than all our challenges and fears.
John, the beloved disciple, was purported to
be Jesus’ cousin by many historians. He was the
only disciple who watched Christ’s brutal
crucifixion and promised to care for Jesus’ aging
mother. John saw the gory blood. He grieved as
he witnessed his cousin’s last breath. But three
days later, John was transformed by Christ’s
resurrection. No earthly miracles Christ had
performed prepared him for this. In John 20:8 we
read “and he saw and believed’. John was filled
with wonder and awe at what he saw. The
gigantic boulder was rolled away and the Roman
soldiers were nowhere to be found. Every day,
for the rest of his life, John was in awe of his
Master. Ninety year old John, imprisoned on the
island of Patmos was the one Jesus entrusted to
write Revelation-the heavenly vision that
predicted the glories of heaven and the end of
time.
Similarly; we too can live lives of wonder
because of Christ’s resurrection. After the
conversion experience, many Christians slug
their way through daily living in apathy. The Bible
is boring and the events in Jesus’ life, death and
resurrection seem like holy mythology. Nothing
is fresh or new. But have you noticed children
entering a toy shop. Their eyes immediately light
up-everything is magical and amazing! If we truly
believe Jesus conquered death and the grave, we
can live our lives with a sense of wonder. We can
wake up every morning, just waiting to hear our
6

Savior speak, looking for Him in creation and
seeing Him in the lives of our fellow Christian
brothers and sisters. Let us not allow our
Christian walk to become mundane. Open your
eyes and marvel at His work.
Finally, we see God as a God of second chances
in the life of Simon Peter. Jesus cooked breakfast
for Peter and restored his ministry. Nobody was
more messed up than Peter. He denied Jesus. He
had always said the wrong things. After Jesus
‘death he picked up his nets and went back to
fishing but Jesus meets him. He spoke gently to
Peter in John 21:12-17.Even as Peter reiterated
thrice that he loved Jesus, the resurrected
Messiah tasks him to feed the flock and care for
them. Peter felt worthless but Jesus assured him
it didn’t matter. He called him to do the most
important task in the world. Peter took on
Christ’s mantle, the mantle of a shepherd. The
flawed, bumbling apostle became the rock Jesus
knew he could be. Peter preached at Pentecost
and pastored the church in Jerusalem. In 34
A.D.Peter died in Rome, choosing to be crucified
upside down because he felt unworthy to be
executed in the same manner as his Master.
So how can Jesus’ resurrection change us? We
now have hope. Jesus does not care about our
past failures or rash behavior. We may have
denied Him but we can begin again. Jesus can
always infuse our lives with unbelievable
resurrection power. We can be used by God yet
again to make a difference in our families, church
or community.
So, this Easter lay aside your doubts and failures.
See the wonder of the Divine every day. Embrace
the hope that he offers you. He is risen indeed!
FORMATION OF TAMIL METHODIST CHURCH BAHAU
Tamil Methodist Church Bahau was consisted
as the 51st church of The Tamil Annual
Conference, Methodist Church in Malaysia on
Sunday 23rd February 2014 by our
President,Rev. C. Jayaraj.
The work started in Serting, Jempol, just
outside Bahau, in 1990 with four families
meeting together for fellowship and prayer.
This grew into regular weekly services, where
they continued to meet in the home of one of
the members.
Soon the homes could not contain the growing congregation and in 2000 we rented and
moved to our first shop house in Mahsan, Bahau.
At the 38th session of the TAC in November 2013, the formation of Tamil Methodist Church,
Bahau as a local conference was officially accepted.
The church has 62 members with a strong leadership and an active congregation who
participate in all church activities. Other then the Sunday services, the members are actively
involved in the weekly small group meetings in their respective areas and weekly prayer in
church, together with fellowships of the MYF, MW and MYAF. The church school also meets
weekly.
The formation service was officiated by our President, Rev. C. Jayaraj, and District
Superintendent, Rev. A. James Ravindran together with the Pastor in Charge of TMC
Seremban Rev. Raymond Raj. Pastor
Vijaydass the pastor of TMC Seremban
was also present. It was well attended
by members of the EXCO of TAC, pastors
and members of our sister churches as
well as members of other denominations
in Bahau.
We had a very meaningful and blessed
service with our president sharing God’s
word, “Geared for Growth” based on the
passage from Ephesians 4:14-16.
We take this opportunity to thank all the faithful servants of God who have tirelessly labored
in this soil. We thank our mother church Tamil Methodist Church, Seremban for being our
beacon of light and guiding us on and leading us until our foundation has been firmly put in
place.
Above all we wish to thank our Lord Jesus who has chosen us as His people and placed us
here in Bahau. We will continue to honour our Lord by sowing the seeds of the gospel in this
area.
Together we shall move: “Forward in Faith”
To God be the Glory
Members TMC Bahau
FORMATION OF TAMIL METHODIST CHURCH ULU TIRAM
The ministry at Ulu Tiram was started by
Rev. C. Paul in the year 2002. Initially it was
just house meetings at the home of late Mr.
Isaac Christian. Ulu Tiram was dedicated as
an outreach under Tamil Methodist Johor
Bahru, officially on the 9th of March 2003 by
Rev. P. Tevaraji the President of Tamil
Annual Conference. Many ministers, church
workers, LCEC members and leaders have
laboured for the growth of this ministry.
Now after over 11 years, Ulu Tiram outreach
has shown a good growth both in
membership and also finances. At present
we have a total of 71 full members and 29
preparatory members in the outreach.
The formation of Tamil Methodist Church
Ulu Tiram as the 52nd church of Tamil
Annual Conference took place at 5.00pm on
the 15th of March 2014. The formation
service was blessed with an attendance of
more than 300 people locally and also from
the Southern District Churches. The
officiating was done by Rev. C. Jayaraj the
President of Tamil Annual Conference,
assisted by Southern District
Superintendent Rev. James Ravindaren and
witnessed by all the Southern District
Pastors, former Pastors, church workers and
leaders. Conference Lay leader Mr. Clarence
James and Conference Methodist
amounting to a total of RM 53,383.00 and a
Ford van. The service was also streamed live
in the internet at www.livestream/tmcjblive
.
The President officially appointed Rev
Silvester David as the Pastor In Charge and
Rev Richard Lowerence as the assistant
Pastor to TMC Ulu Tiram
All glory, honour, and praises be unto the
Triune God.
Rev Richard Lowerence
Assistant Pastor
TMC Ulu Tiram
Women President Mrs. Sakuntala David
were also present. The whole service went
on well with an awesome presence of God.
The sanctuary was beautifully decorated in
purple. The people of TMC Ulu Tiram with
the assistance of members and leaders of
TMC JB made this event a remarkable one.
We express our highest gratitude to our
mother church TMC Johor Bahru for adding
to our joy by blessing us with a love gift
A DREAM COMES TRUE
- R.Steven -
All Praise and Honor to Our Lord Jesus Christ.
I have been attending our Tamil Annual Conferences for many years and often found the
membership figures questionable every year.
Some churches gave their figures only at the time when the Statistician was reporting. Figures,
were not tallying always. It was my desire to do something about this.
My Dream came to life when I was elected as Conference Statistician in 2008.
To rectify the above issues, I immediately worked on the following:
1. Every church has to update Membership according to Identity Card.
2. Introduced Key Performance Index -14 days.
3. Requested all churches to insert the ‘Statistical Data Form’ into the Local Conference
Report.
4. Requested all churches to submit their 12 months Membership list yearly to the
Conference Statistician.
With the above being implemented, I made the first proposal to the EXCO to purchase a
Membership Software in 2009.
Unfortunately my proposal was turned down but as my spirit was still high, I continued to work
harder. With the implementation of the 4 strategies churches began to catch my vision.
At the 37 th Session (2012), I once again brought the proposal. By the Grace of God, my proposal
was accepted by the delegates. I was given the task to source for a supplier. I was able to get 6
quotations ranging from RM 5,800.00 to RM 40,000.00.We finally decided to engage the
company “Reflugency” for a fees of RM 10,000.00.
At the 38 th Session, this project was officially launched by
our President Rev.C.Jayaraj.
I conducted series of intensive training to all the Pastors
and Membership Chairmen of all the churches in all the
Districts in the months of January and February 2014.
During the 2 months, every church was encouraged to
operate the system for practical training purposes before
the system goes “LIVE” effective 1 ST MARCH 2014. In a
month’s time, this system can also be used to print
Confirmation and Baptism certificates.
I sincerely wish to express my appreciation to the TAC President, Rev.C.Jayaraj,
Mr.Devan, Mr.Achu, Mr.Julian and Mr. Jacob Emmanuel who were always with me and helped
to achieve My Dream.
My sincere thanks to all the churches for your wonderful cooperation - without your support TAC
could not have progressed thus far.
All Glory and Honor to God!
TAC PASTORS’ PRAYER DAY
About 45 of our pastors and church workers
came together for a time of fasting and prayer on
the 11th of March in Tamil Methodist Church
Kuala Lumpur. The day started at 9.30a.m.with a
time of praise and worship led by Rev.Kunabalan.
This was followed by a meditation by
Ev.Moganasundram from India. He also shared
his testimony.
The prayer sessions in small groups followed. The
pastors interceded for the conference, for the
nation and for themselves led by Rev.Vinsant
Rayar, Rev.James Ravindran and
Rev.Sandireseharan. There was also a time of
testimony which was led by Rev. Jeeva.
The prayer day ended at 4.45 p.m. with
corporate prayer led by Rev.Doraiseelan and
Rev.Ezekiel.
The pastors travelled from near and far to gather
as one body recognizing the power of united
prayer. When we pray in unity God will surely
move powerfully in all our churches. We will
usher in a mighty wave of revival soon. The Lion
of Judah is enthroned in our conference. Let us
continue to tarry as often as possible both as
pastors and laity at the feet of Jesus.
REMEMBER
‘WHEN WE WORK WE WORK
BUT
WHEN WE PRAY GOD WORKS’.
TAMIL METHODIST CHURCH BUKIT ROTAN
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM 2013
The Christmas program of the Church was successfully held on 7 th Dec 2013. There were
two specific programs namely a Free Medical Camp and a Social Activity. These programs
have been held for the last 3 years. This year it was held in the vicinity of Taman Rajawali,
Bukit Rotan. The Organizing Committee headed by Mr. Jesudass Sinappan worked very
well. The Medical Camp was headed by Mr. Matthew and the Social Activity was headed
by Mr. Alex.
The budget was RM10,000. God helped us through generous donors and met all our
needs. The main reason for the success was the many prayers held constantly. The
church declared two weeks for Fasting & Prayer and during the last week before the
program Chain prayer was conducted.Truly God blessed this program tremendously. The
weather for the day was also very fine.
Firstly, the Medical Camp was held from 12.00p.m. to 3.30 pm. This Medical Camp was
carried out with the help of the Rotary Club of Bukit Tinggi, Klang. Free High Blood
Pressure test, Urine Test, and other simple medical tests were carried out. The doctors
and nurses from the Kuala Selangor General Hospital attended to the patients. Around
62 participants registered and obtained medical assistance. Lunch was also provided for
all those who participated in this Medical camp.
Then, from 4.00pm to 7.00pm, Christmas Social activity was held in the field at Taman
Rajawali. About 200 unbelievers participated in this program. The message of the birth
of Jesus Christ was presented through songs, a sketch and dances. Besides that, our
Pastor, Rev. David Tharmakan gave an inspiring message for those who came. To add
some goodwill, 90 families were given some groceries. Dinner was also provided for all
those who attended this program. The program ended with prayer and benediction
given by our Pastor.
Truly God’s blessings were experienced fully in this year’s program. Through this God
enabled us to find favor and establish a good relationship with the Indian people in this
area. Many thanks to God who blessed this program.
TELUGU FELLOWSHIP TMC KL – 10 th ANNIVERSARY
A WORD FROM THE COORDINATOR
First and foremost, I would like to thank
Pastors from Tamil Methodist Church
Kuala Lumpur for electing me as the
Coordinator. The Telugu people under
TMC KL are gathering as migrants. The first
service started in January 2004 1 with our
former TAC President, Rev.P.Tevaraji,
Rev.Victor Vethamani, Rev.T.D.Peter and
Rev.Timothy Krishnan and 18 members.
Rev.Victor Vethamani shared the message
on how to live a holy life. Now we have
grown to 75 members and 25 children. It
has always been my great passion to serve
the Lord especially through this Telugu
ministry. I would like to thank my present
pastors, Rev.Justin Clarence and Rev.Samy
Dass for their spiritual guidance and my
committee members for their cooperation
and encouragement in the ministry. I also
thank the LCEC members for supporting
the Telugu ministry.The highest honour
goes to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
for all His faithfulness and grace that has
sustained us.
Thank you.
LAY LEADER’S REPORT
I take this opportunity to thank our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ for the Telugu Fellowship
@ Tamil Methodist Church Kuala Lumpur and for allowing us to celebrate 10 years of serving
the LORD. I also thank all the pastors of TMCKL and the members of TF for electing me as
the leader of the Telegu Fellowship.
I will try to highlight some of the changes
and growth that has taken place in the life
of our TF over the last 10 years.Certainly
there is much to highlight and a lot to thank
God for.Changes continue to occur and as
they do, we pray that they will also have the
blessing of God as we seek His presence in
our fellowship.
As scheduled, our Sunday Worship Service
is at 4.00pm.We always notice new faces
joining us every Sunday. In 2004 we started
with 4 members. Now,we have about 100+
members.Some are from Christian families
and some have come to the Lord after
coming over here. The messages are shared
by the TMCKL Church Pastors on the first 2
Sundayswhile pastors visiting Malaysia and
sometimes local evangelists will share on
the other 2 Sundays. We have tea
fellowship after our service in order for us
to interact with new comers and encourage
one another. We also have small group
fellowship every Wednesday in the homes
of our members. Sometimes locally based
speakers share the Word of God, and
sometimes speakers or pastors visiting
Malaysia from India will share. W also have
our Fasting and Prayer on every Saturday
evening in the Church premises. We also
gather together and pray before we plan
our program so that we undertake all the
activities in a proper manner.
We are even reaching out to many places
like Sri Muda, Semenyih, Shah Alam, Klang,
Cheras and other places. We often help
21

people in need. Every year we visit an
orphanage. We carry out house visitations
and hospital visitations when some of our
fellowship members are in need of prayer.
We have Christmas carol visitation to
houses and pray for them. Our team of
committee members work along with the
Church members and offer any sort of help
for the fellowship to grow. We have good
support from the TMCKL Pastors, LCEC, the
members and youths.
I also assist all my committee members in
their respective roles and responsibilities. I
have a good team of Committee members.
I make sure I am there personally to
encourage the members. I will take the
initiative to ensure everything is in order for
the growth of the fellowship and
individuals. I also arrange the
accommadation and prayer meetings for
pastors visiting Malaysia.
Moreover, I encourage everyone who
comes forward and carries out certain roles
and responsibilities including families.
I am involved in all the activities pertaining
to the TF and carry out the activities based
on discussions and suggestions from the
Pastors and Elders of TMC KL. Besides that,
I also provide input towards TF records and
reports and am involved in the mission
ministry program. We also help families and
friends any time of the day if there’s a need
for prayer.
We make sure that in whatever we do as
a fellowship we bring Glory and Honour to
our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that this
ministry will also be a means to share the
love of Christ and the spirit of our
fellowship.
Thank you.
SPIRITUAL LIFE RETREAT
The Methodist Women of the Central District organised a
Spiritual Life Retreat at APC, Jalan Pudu on the 15th and 16th
February 2014.
The theme for the retreat was “Transformation Through
Prayer and Perseverance”. The word of God came
powerfully through our speakers, Rev Arnold Rajan and his
wife Pastor Santhana. They co-pastor a church in Jalan Ipoh,
Kuala Lumpur.
A total of 90 ladies from the nine central district churches
learnt much. We were told that we are called to purposeful
living and that God wants us to be aware of his general will for mankind and his specific will
for each one of us. Hence, learning to seek out his will and purpose is important for every
believer and for the body of Christ. Secondly, our hearts have to be ready for wholesome
transformation. Examples and principles were drawn from the Parable of the Sower. Thirdly,
we should make every effort to live life that is completely honouring to the Lord.
22

Let us work towards love and unity as a body
of Christ. Let us not live life vengefully. It
destroys not only relationships but also can
be detrimental to the building of God’s
Kingdom. At the final session, the speaker
made a comparison between Deborah and
Delilah. One helped to build and the other
brought about the downfall of the man who
was within her influence. A timid and fearful
Barak become a hero because of Deborah,
whereas the strong man Samson becomes a
‘zero’ because of a Delilah. We were
challenged with the question, ”Are you a
Deborah or Delilah to the people around
you?” All the ladies were personally
ministered to during the commitment session
by the main speakers.
A pre-retreat questionnaire that was
designed to be totally reflective was
distributed to all the ladies to prepare their
hearts prior to the retreat. The questionnaire
gave us an opportunity to look deeper into
our personal spiritual, physical and mental
development; family life and our social
wellbeing and ministry. The pre-retreat
worksheets were prerequisites for the 3
workshops. The “Personal Development”
workshop was done by Rev Arnold and his
wife, where the participants had
opportunities to talk about their struggles
and challenges in maintaining a good prayer
life. Mrs. Vijaya Jayaraj facilitated the
workshop on “Family Development.’ It was
very interactive.
The ladies learnt about the five languages of love and the importance of maintaining a healthy
family life in the light of living a purposeful life. The last workshop on “Societal Development”
was facilitated by Mrs Jasmine Adaikalam. We received many insights on loving the community
outside the body of Christ.
This retreat brought great encouragement and awakening in all our hearts. It was totally because
the Lord in his divine wisdom intended to make his will and purpose known to us, the women of
this generation so that we could be made into ready vessels to be used by the Master Potter.
HOPE
A poem by Pushparani Navamani
A tear?
Is that a tear I see in your eye my
beloved child?
Streaks of pain?
Disappointment yet again?
Another loss?
Is the door once again closed?
Come ….Come away a while with Me ,
Rest , and lay your weary head on My
shoulder.
I will hold you still as your soul finds its
wings to soar again;
You will rise ….
you will soar ….
you will sing with glee
For this was the purpose you were
crafted so divinely….
To elevate!
This is but a pause in your walk,
A moment of silent respite ,
In quietness and rest , you will find
strength ,
The door, which to your weak little
hand ,
Is bolted fast and held tightly shut,
Will give way,
if you slipped your hand in Mine
And We tried again.
Its not the end my child……take heart…..
I am The Voice of Hope,
The world and all may say
‘Give up …lay down and die!
You’ve tried your best..
Given it your best shot ..
Call it quits and move on!”
But I …The Voice of Hope whisper,,
“Rise Up…try it one more time !
Give it your every dime .
By plodding on you can win
Hold on to Hope and don’t give in.
Remember its always darkest before
the dawn;
Before you know it,
The dawn will break out into a new
morn!,
The clouds will disperse, The sunshine
burst forth!
A brand New Day
A Day of Hope
A Day of New Beginnings
Why allow the enemies of your soul
Worry, Strife, Anxiety and Fear
Rob you of the Peace and Hope that I
planted here.
Clench not your fists and bite not your
nails
It will not bring the wind to your sails.
Sit, be still,
Look to the sea, the sky .the birds;
Be poised and ready
To spread your wings and be lifted high.
For the next gust might be the very
Wind of Change
That will lift you up to the mountain
peak!
So come ….
Sit awhile with Me
Let Hope your heart captivate
And with the break of dawn
You will ELEVATE.
TRIP TO SRI LANKA
On 11.2.2014, Rev. Justin Clarence, Mr.
Timothy (from TMC Ipoh)
and I went to Sri Lanka in relation to our
Youth Ministry.
The purpose of the trip was to
i. enrol Mr. Timothy into a training program conducted by “Youth for Christ
Foundation”
as he has committed himself for full-time youth ministry.
ii. find a suitable Theological College in Colombo for Mr. Timothy to start his theological
studies soon.
iii. obtain more information for the forthcoming “ Youth Exposure Trip” organized by
Conference MYF.
God granted us an opportunity to observe the ministries carried out by “Youth For Christ Foundation”
as we spent some time with the volunteers ministering under this foundation. The details are as
follows:
1. Kale Centre (1.30 hours journey from Colombo)
This centre is being operated by Mr. Nomale with the help of 4 volunteers. They are providing
free education, conducting youth services and have a basket ball team. They are also providing
free education to some 70 students from a village called “Akkamina”. Furthermore, they have
also started an outreach ministry in the village of “Mathra”.
2. Mullai Island (7 hours journey from Colombo)
Free education is provided to about 40 students from a village called “Thanner Orthru”. Music
classes and youth services are also conducted under the leadership of Mr. Suthash with the help
of the village headman and villagers.
3. Killinochi (6 hours journey from Colombo)
Free education is also given to about 40 students. Besides, youth services are conducted under
the leadership of Mr. Mayuran.
30

4. Vaiyuniya (6 hours journey from Colombo)
There is free education, music classes and a football team under the leadership of Mr. Kanthan
in this place.
5. Avishavilla (2 hours journey from Colombo)
A Drug Rehabilitation Centre is operated in Kalalikhandura under the leadership of Mr. Janaga.
Apart from this, Mr. Timothy went through a training related to youth ministry in “Youth For Christ
Foundation” till 9 th of March 2014. God also used Rev. Justin and I mightily in preaching the gospel as
well as prayer ministry throughout our trip.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who prayed for us. Please continue to pray
for our conference youth ministries. Let us unite and build the Kingdom of God among our youths
according to His thoughts and plans.
In His Service,
Hi… my name is Dhines .I’m 23 years old and live in Penang.
On 18 October 2013. I met with a terrible accident while
going to work. I was riding my motorbike when all of a
sudden I crashed into a trailer.Immediately, I was rushed to
a hospital in a very critical condition. I was in a coma as I had
serious brain injury. There were multiple fractures on my
face. My right eye was 99% damaged and both my upper
and lower limbs were fractured terribly. The doctors told
my family that I had only a 30% chance of survival.
Then the very first operation was fixed to save me. Again
the doctor could not assure my family that I would live.. But
Jesus did a miracle. After 9 hours of surgery, Praise the Lord
I was still alive .The doctor gave a statement “ Dhines will
be in coma for at least 6 to 7 months because of the brain
injury ”. Again a miracle happened in my life. I became
conscious after six days. I was in coma for 6 days not 6
months. Then followed a plastic surgery of 11 hours to
restructure my face. I have 45% of plastic bones in my face
now and I survived it. I love Jesus so much.
My limbs are all getting better now, I believe I will walk soon. Now I’ve no vision at all in my right
eye. However, I know that Jesus will heal me. I praise the Lord for all the miracles that happened
in my life. I had been the sole bread winner in my family and the cost of my operation was about
RM 20,000.Halleluyah! God also provided it through donations from church members , families
and collegues. God has comforted my family very well. Thanks be to God for saving me from
death. My heartfelt thanks to all churches that prayed for me. Thank you. Please continue to
uphold me in your prayers.
ALL HONOR AND GLORY BE TO GOD ALONE.
Greetings in Jesus name. Sometimes we may not end up where we want to be, but we will end
up where God wants us to be. In 2013, I did my Advance Dip in Accounting (TAFE) in Inti
International College Subang. All of a sudden the School of Business (SOBIZ) decided to transfer
my course to Inti International College in Penang. I didn’t
want to move to Penang. It was never in my mind at all. So I
went all over KL for almost 1 month to survey whether I could
transfer into some other related course, but nothing worked
out. Every effort was a failure. For almost 2 months, I couldn’t
sleep at night. I couldn’t eat well and didn’t feel like talking to
anyone. Tears after tears, nonstop tears were all I had. I
prayed and asked God many questions, WHY ME? What am I
going to do in Penang? I don’t know anyone. I have never
been to Penang. What am I going to eat? How am I going to
travel? How am I supposed to live without my loving family?
How am I to go to church? What’s happening in my life? Questions after questions .There were
no answers at all. When things got really hard to cope with I gave up in despair. God was so silent
and still.
On 12th January 2014, I attended the TMC Penang Sunday Service. Miracles were
awaiting me. Firstly, God had already prepared a loving mother and father for me in Penang. In
fact I had never seen them before. Secondly, God provided me a car to travel to college. Thirdly,
God blessed me with home cooked food. Fourthly, God blessed me with a sweet home.
Everything was free for me! Finally, God also prepared a place for my friend to stay. Indeed, He
loves everybody .Two weeks later on my way back from college God reminded me of everything
that He had prepared for me in advance. I BURST INTO TEARS, MY MOUTH PRAISED HIM. My
love for Him had wavered but His Love and Care for me had NEVER changed.
Hence, friends stop worrying. God is in control. He holds you in the palm of His hands.
He is working things out for your good. You may not see it but trust Him. He will never leave you
nor forsake you. The storms of life can be unbearable but you are not alone. God is with you
always. He loves you, and cares about everything that is happening in your life. He hears your
cries and sees your pain. Moreover, He understands your feelings and your pains. Just like how
He did for me, He will do for you.
Praise be to God alone.
