APRIL 2018
Remembrance 2018
Churches across the country are commemorating the 100 th
Anniversary of the end of World War I by making poppies to
adorn their buildings.
At St Thomas’, we are hoping to create a cascade of poppies to
hang from the church tower in November.
There are various ways in which YOU can help:
1. Donate some red yarn, red felt, scraps of black yarn or black
buttons.
2. Knit or crochet poppies. (Patterns are available).
3. Make poppies from felt or other suitable fabric.
4. Donate some garden netting and or cable ties to assist with
construction of the cascade.
5. Nearer the time, help with securing poppies to the netting and
assembling the cascade.
Tuition can be given, so ANYONE can have a go and get
involved. Knit and natter sessions can be arranged!
Thank you for your help
Annual Poppy Appeal.
