Sant Ambroeus, a Milanese import named for the patron saint of the Italian city, has been the Madison Avenue shopper’s café of choice for 36 years. The drink of choice? A classic dark roast coffee, served in a silver pot with an almond croissant on the side. The café’s spacious benches are welcoming for a shopping bag (or two), while the eclectic crew of regulars provides in-dining entertainment. There are also seasonal gift boxes of butter cookies and panettone. Call ahead – they sell out. 33 NIRAV MODI The India-based haut diamantaire’s US flagship features a range of diamond pieces, paired with emeralds, rubies and more. 34 BUCCELLATI The wide selection of earrings and necklaces makes Buccellati’s intimate NYC boutique the company’s most popular. 35 GRAFF Find multicarat diamonds (from 1 to 100) at the Londonbased jeweller’s Manhattan outlet. 36 CHOPARD The Swiss brand’s NYC outpost is a goto for wedding rings, with a signature style that conceals the metal fully.
