The District 24 Annual Conference is April 20 – 22 in Kearney, Nebraska at the Younes Conference Center. This will be a conference full of excitement! There are two incredible speakers on the agenda for this conference. 2005 World Champion of Public Speaking, Lance Miller, will be the Featured Speaker. Lance will bring his exciting speaking style to District 24. Toastmasters International Director, Region 4, Monique Levesque-Pharoah, will be the Keynote Speaker at the conference! What an incredible opportunity to learn from two outstanding speakers! The conference begins Friday, April 20 with a workshop titled Change Management from conference Keynote Speaker Monique Levesque-Pharoah followed by the District 24 Table Topics Speech Contest. The District International Speech Contest will be Saturday afternoon. The educational sessions will cover Pathways, Social Media, Leadership for a Championship Club, and How to Promote and Market a Toastmasters Club. The day will end with a banquet and awards ceremony. The Keynote Address is The Power of Mindset given by Monique Levesque-Pharoah. After the banquet, there will be Bunkhouse Karaoke. Friday night after the Table Topics contest, there will be a Toastmaster Talent Showcase. If you have a talent such as storytelling, singing, hula-hooping, or dancing, send your name and hidden talent to John Paul Arias (email@example.com) to become part of a new tradition. The Toastmaster Talent Showcase setup is at 9 pm with the show starting at 9:30 pm Friday evening. Registration for the conference is open and can be done on-line using this URL: https://district24-2018-annual-conference.eventbrite.com District 24’s newest club, Tech Talk Toast (T*3)! Cost for the conference is $49 until April 15. Non-Toastmasters can attend for $60 a person. There are five meals at the conference, Friday evening, Saturday morning, Satuday midday, Saturday evening, and Sunday morning. Meals are priced separately or if you like, you may purchase the full meal deal for $120. The host hotel is the Fairfield Inn & Suites at 501 W. Talmadge Rd in Kearney. The block of rooms has been released but call the hotel direct (308-236-4200) and tell them you are with District 24 Toastmasters. If rooms are available, the room rate may be honored.
