<strong>Summer</strong> <strong>School</strong> Class Selection Continued<br />
Eligibility <strong>for</strong> Classes Listed Below: Students who are currently in 2nd Grade<br />
Directions <strong>for</strong> Registration: Complete the summer school online registration as outline on<br />
page 2 of this brochure. Please note that some courses have a class limit due to technology requirements<br />
and/or staffing. We created the course option schedule based on previous year’s<br />
enrollment. If you have any questions about online registration, please call 414-294-7406.<br />
Fun With Technology<br />
Eligibility: Students in grade 2<br />
Description: In this class, we have the<br />
chance to get creative with a variety of web<br />
tools, such as Voki, Comic Creator, and<br />
SMART software. Students will also learn<br />
how to surf the net safely and explore kidfriendly<br />
sites. Our keyboarding skills get better,<br />
too.<br />
Little Piñatas Club<br />
Eligibility: Students in grade 2<br />
Description: Students will participate in<br />
hands-on activities to teach them basic<br />
Spanish words, including colors, numbers,<br />
the alphabet, months, days of the week and<br />
animals. Students will be able to relay<br />
in<strong>for</strong>mation using basic sentences<br />
Learning English as a Second Language<br />
Backyard Games<br />
Eligibility: Students in Grade<br />
2<br />
Description: Students will learn a variety<br />
of games played outdoors including<br />
Capture the Flag, Color Tag, Poison Ball,<br />
etc. Whether it be competition or an interactive<br />
activity, students will be equipped<br />
with a variety of games that they can<br />
bring home to family and friends.<br />
Eligibility: Students in grade 2<br />
Description: Students who are learning<br />
English as a second language will continue<br />
to build their English skills in reading,<br />
writing, listening and speaking.<br />
Nutritious is Delicious<br />
Eligibility: Students currently in Grade 2<br />
Description: This class offers students<br />
the opportunity to learn about the food<br />
groups, read recipes, eat healthy, make<br />
healthy snacks, and to exercise as a part<br />
of their daily routine.<br />
Students must register at their current grade level. Current grade level is student’s grade during the 17-18 school year.
