Sacramento Claims Association News NetworkApril 2018 11 Spring is in the air, and golf tournaments on the near horizon! By Bryan Harrison, Association News Network Publisher April showers, and all that. Spring is in the air, and golf tournaments on the near horizon! Even before tee-off time, our affiliate associations have some strong luncheon programs in the month of April. East Bay Claims Association kicks things off with returning guest speaker, the popular Vinh Pham, of Envirocheck. Mr. Pham will be discussing Asbestos Contamination Assessments at the April 11th EBCA luncheon meeting, at Zio Fraedo’s in Pleasant Hill. He is an entertaining speaker with an enlightened perspective. Sign-up now at: www.EastBay- Claims.org. EBCA also just announced their 17th annual Golf Tournament, to be held Friday, July 27, 2018. It’s an ‘80s Theme, back at Eagle Vines Golf Club in Napa Sacramento Claims is hosting their first regular luncheon meeting for 2018, Thursday, April 12th. Special guest speaker is Mr. Peter Meza, from the California Department of Insurance. Mr. Meza plans to address some of the Inner-workings of property claims at the CDI, plus introduction to the recently passed Insurance Diversity Initiative. Secure your spot right away at: www.SacramentoClaims.org to get in on this. SCA is holding their annual Golf Tournament Friday, May 11th. “Kentucky Derby” is the theme this year, being held again at Turkey Creek Golf Course in Lincoln. And, finally, the Mid-Valley Claims Association is holding their next luncheon meeting Friday, April 20, 2018. MVCA is very pleased to welcome perennial favorite guest speaker, Mr. Ulises Castellon, CPCU, RPA, of Fire Cause Analysis. Mr. Castellon will be presenting a one-hour certified CE Course on “Ethics for the Claims Professional”. This is one not to miss, as well. Go to: www.MidValleyClaims.org to secure your luncheon spot. Spring season represents new and resurgent life. May you find new challenges, new opportunities, and great growth in your personal and professional life this Spring. See you around the network! Warm regards, Bryan Membership Drive for 2018 Is On! - Join/Renew Now The Sacramento Claims Association Membership Committee would like to encourage you to join and/or renew your annual membership to the association. Member dues provide a significant financial support to the organization, and a strong membership helps to keep a non-profit like SCA viable and alive. Without all of us together there would be no SCA. “This organization could not maintain the strong standing we enjoy today without the support of all our members,” stated SCA President Steve Moore. The organization has worked diligently to continue to provide programs and events of interest and value to claims adjusters and the surrounding claims service community. “The Sacramento Claims Association is always committed to maintaining a high degree of professional courtesy within our ranks.” In addition to the organization actively taking measures to continue to raise its standing within the community at large, the association has been building on its sphere of local charitable causes to support. The SCA Board has opted to continue to offer annual FREE Memberships to insurance carrier adjusters (with an optional suggested $10 donation going to the charitable fund). Completion and submission of a simple membership application now allows all such claims people the benefits of membership. Sign up or renew now at www.SacramentoClaims.org. What?!
