I am very grateful for the support I have had from Council, Rabbi René, our Emeritus Rabbi, Danny Rich, our staff and contractors, particularly our bookkeeper, our President and KLS volunteers, and for all the work they have done. Craig Simmons Council’s overall aim is for KLS to be an inclusive community which provides a programme of activities that promote the religious beliefs and ethical, moral and social values of Liberal Judaism, thereby encouraging the spiritual awareness and development of all. Our members express their Judaism in different ways and our goal is to cater for them all, whether they are interested in religious aspects, learning, social and cultural activities, or involving the synagogue in the life of the local and wider community. Rather than attempt to list all our achievements in meeting this aim here, I invite you to read the following pages, assembled from the contributions of Council members, our President, Rabbi René and dedicated KLS members, who have given their time and energy to making KLS a wonderful community. 3 – KLSAnnualReport 2017
