Transact XML Not Receiving Notification of Errors 1. Make certain a Notification Email address has been set in Engage (and is a valid email address). 2. Contact Client Support. IP Address Errors 1. An organization may be attempting to send requests without having configured the correct IP address. 2. Your system has changed its "Send" IP address (see User's Guide for further details). 3. Permitted IP addresses may not have synched yet with Engage (allow 10 minutes). Duplicate Emails Sent 1. Batch request process may have duplicates sent if a failure occurred in the middle of sending and the job restarted. This is normal and expected behavior and is safeguarded to have minimal resends. 2. Your system may be sending duplicate requests. Automated Messages and Mailings Transact Does Not Recognize a New Campaign 1. Transact requires up to 10 minutes to synch with new Engage information. Allow 10 minutes to elapse, and then try again. 2. Ensure the new Campaign/Group ID number is accurate. Transact Does Not Recognize the Tags Sent in XML 1. Verify the Mailing is automated to the correct campaign number. 2. Confirm that the fields exist in the Engage database and Template. 3. Ensure that character case (uppercase and lowercase) matches the Engage fields. Note: Your message is still sent even if you receive the error message "one or more columns not found." Campaign/Group ID Does Not Display in Properties When the Campaign is Created Sometimes navigating to another screen will help refresh the properties. Transact XML Hyperlinks and Tracking No Tracking, No Query String Parameters Issue: Contact clicks the hyperlink in the message and goes to the destination site, but tracking does not occur and the query string parameters are missing. Solution: It takes up to 10 minutes for Transact and Engage to synch information. If the contact receives the email and clicks the link before 10 minutes elapses, tracking and parameter substitution may not occur. Clicked Hyperlinks Go to the Wrong URL Engage uses the Link Name for the hyperlink for tracking purposes. If you do not change the Link Name, Engage will substitute the hyperlink first associated with it (the Link Name in the XML is the “&k” parameter name that precedes the destination URL). IP Address Transact Does Not Recognize My IP Address Transact recognizes only IP addresses that you specify in your User Settings. For security, Transact will not respond to any IP address not specifically designated by you. See the User's Guide for more information.
