Transact XML Test Using Transact Before you send a test mailing using Transact, you will need the Campaign/Group ID. Each group of automated messages has an associated unique ID, which you can obtain from Engage. To get the Campaign/Group ID: Go to Automation > Automated Messages > View Groups. From the Active tab, select the group you want to test. The Group of Automated Messages Summary page displays and shows all details about the group, including the ID (at the top of the page, to the right of the Group Name). Test the Response Message through Transact Use the steps below to test the mailing of a transaction response message through Transact. Note that the following test is performed outside of the Engage interface by using the Transact Test Harness. 1. Make sure that all items on the Organization and Silverpop Administrative Setup Essentials checklist (see the link on this topic page) are complete. Transact will not send messages unless all items are completed. 2. Compose an XML Submit document. The XML formatting must be exact. XML tags in Engage can be in lowercase, uppercase, or mixed case, but tags must exactly match the tags used in Engage. Booleans (true, false) must be in lowercase. Include the following items in the document: • Campaign/Group ID • Contact email address • XML CDATA content, including hyperlinks, if using CDATA content. • Any personalization tag names included in the database and Template, and their values. An email should arrive at the address you specified as the contact. HTTP submissions will receive a Response document at the HTTP address from which the document was submitted.
