6.12 Identify

6.12 Identify performance gaps and training needs In the Felton Vocational School case, the people who performed the data analysis managed to get several meaningful information: Causes Performance Gaps Training needs Distance learning technologies: Distance learning technologies Educating stakeholders - Less experience - lower performance - and processes - Low literacy - less positive attitude - use of online learning tools Audio: Seems like the people who performed the data analysis in the Felton Vocational School case managed to get several meaningful information. Using these results they could identify performance gaps, what is causing them and what the training needs that would determine their future actions. For example, from the scatterplot and the summary narratives they discovered that lower literacy or less experience regarding distance learning technologies is one reason for less positive attitude towards distance learning and lower performance in the use of such technologies. This indicates that low exposure of the stakeholders to distance education field can definitely be a barrier for the implementation either of pure online classes or a blending online learning solution. Therefore, there is a need for educating stakeholders on the use of online learning tools and processes. 16
