April 7 at the Three Hills Community Center to give a repurposed town hall and school a nudge to the finish line. The poetry and antics of Endiang’s Bryan Smith Lammle and more than 50 auction items were the climax of the Kneehill Historical Society’s help-the-old-school spring supper fundraiser. In 2017, the society relocated the Town of Three Hills’ 1914- era town hall and schoolhouse to the museum facility on Hwy. 583, but the tired old structure needed TLC (tender loving care), extensive and expensive renovations and thousands of volunteer hours to get it looking like a school Hanna, AB • 403-854-3711 Donate $ 5 OR $ 10 to the HANNA FOOD BANK from April 13-19th and enter to win a $ 50 Pharmasave Gift Card. The building, complete with bell tower, a real school bell and pull rope, has been renovated and repurposed many times over its long life. It served the town as a school, police station, village and justice of the peace office, courthouse, library, and firefighter training facility. In its new configuration, the building will have an old time classroom, plus storage and workshop facilities for museum work. “You can’t help but be impressed when you see the building today,” said Kneehill Historical Society President Rosalie Lammle. “So much work has been done since we moved it on site and we will continue working on furnishings, electrical, and other considerations before it opens to the public.” 04-12-2018Mich1.125x10.75.indd 1 4/3/18 1:58:21 PM OLDS 403-556-6711 1-800-470-2388 Toll Free: 1-877-811-8855 13090 Barlow Trail NE Free: 1-877-811-8855 13090 Barlow Trail NE Saturday April 21, 2018 Calgary, Alberta APPROXIMATELY 600 UNITS PUBLIC AUTO & RV AUCTION maauctions.com Toll Free: 1-800-665-5888 Hwy 16A W Rge Rd 262 UNRESERVED INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT AUCTION Thursday May 3, 2018 Edmonton, o n Alberta CORONATION 403-578-3747 1-888-578-0800 featuring RTV’s and Zero Turn mowers
