he <strong>Salvation</strong> <strong>Army</strong> in <strong>the</strong> Tulsa <strong>Metro</strong> <strong>Area</strong> is blessed to have so many caring, compassionate<br />

friends. Our donors, volunteers, Advisory Board and Councils, officers, and staff enable us to<br />

carry out <strong>the</strong> work that our communities need.<br />

We want to thank all of you <strong>for</strong> your continued gifts of time, talent and treasures to <strong>the</strong> work and<br />

mission of <strong>The</strong> <strong>Salvation</strong> <strong>Army</strong>. Whe<strong>the</strong>r it's seasonal assistance, social services, adult rehabilitation, shelters,<br />

feeding programs, disaster relief or child care, <strong>The</strong> <strong>Salvation</strong> <strong>Army</strong> provides help <strong>for</strong> today's people in need<br />

and hope <strong>for</strong> future generations.<br />

guest speaker Marcus Luttrell.<br />

Over 600 <strong>Salvation</strong> <strong>Army</strong> donors and<br />

supporters came toge<strong>the</strong>r to hear <strong>the</strong> “Lone<br />

Survivor” author’s story and raise nearly $1 million<br />

to help <strong>The</strong> <strong>Salvation</strong> <strong>Army</strong> provide its many<br />

services to <strong>the</strong> Tulsa metro community.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Sand Springs Corps Community Center<br />

and Boys & Girls Club hosted <strong>the</strong>ir “<strong>Army</strong> of<br />

Stars” benefit event in March. Longtime Advisory<br />

Council member, Joe Williams, was honored with<br />

a “Star” award and <strong>the</strong> guest speaker was Eddie<br />

Baugher, Racers For Christ.<br />

World renowned fiddler, Jana Jae, provided<br />

special entertainment at <strong>the</strong> Sapulpa/Creek<br />

County Women's Auxiliary annual Charity<br />

Dinner in April benefitting <strong>The</strong> <strong>Salvation</strong> <strong>Army</strong><br />

Creek County Boys & Girls Club.<br />
