7 Little LEAGUERS Soccer Rules 1. All players must wear their Little LEAGUERS jersey and athletic shoes (cleats and shin pads are permitted but not required). Players in goal will be provided with goalie gloves. 2. No official score will be kept during Little LEAGUERS soccer games. 3. A size 3 ball will be used for all soccer games (appropriate for all players aged 8 and under). 4. Each weekly session will comprise of an instructional/practice period and game. 5. Each game will be 2 halves of 15 minutes with a 5-minute halftime. 6. Each team will field 5 players and a goalie per shift. Shifts will last 5 minutes and players will rotate in and out as substitutes if needed. 7. The boundaries of the field will be marked by white lines and cones (interior boundary of field). The ball is out of play when the whole ball crosses the boundary line. 8. Players will return the ball into play with a kick-in (no throw-ins). 9. There will be no slide tackling in Little LEAGUERS soccer games. Aggressive tackles, intentional hand balls and other unsportsmanlike behaviour will be penalized with a free kick for the opposing team. 10.There will be a zero tolerance policy for any parents/caregivers displaying unsportsmanlike or aggressive behaviour during any Little LEAGUERS activities.
LITTLE LEAGUERS BASEBALL RULES 1. All players must wear their Little LEAGUERS jersey and athletic shoes (cleats and gloves are permitted but not required). Batting helmets are required for all players at bat. 2. No official score will be kept during Little LEAGUERS baseball games. 3. Each weekly session will comprise of an instructional/practice period and a game. 4. Each game consists of at least 2 innings. Each inning, all players will get 1 at bat. 5. Every effort will be made to ensure all players have equal opportunity to field in all defensive positions and to bat in a rotating order. 6. Proper infield positions are to be played (1B, 2B, 3B & SS). 7. Coaches will pitch a maximum of 6 pitches to each player before a player will be encouraged to use the tee to get the ball into play. 8. There will not be any “outs” called. A play will be called dead when the defensive team returns the ball to their coach or, if the ball is hit to the outfield, when the ball crosses back into the infield. 9. The offensive coach will announce “last batter” when the final player in the batting line up comes to the plate. When the ball is put into play, all baserunners will be waived around all bases. Teams will switch from offense to defense when the last baserunner has touched home plate. 10. There will be a zero tolerance policy for any parents/caregivers displaying unsportsmanlike or aggressive behaviour during any Little LEAGUERS activities. 8
