He retired in February 2010 as Chief Warrant Officer with 35 + years of service. He was very committed to Alcoholics Anonymous always offering his time & ear to listen & help others in their recovery. He was an avid jogger, loved to play golf with his friends, collect sports cards & thoroughly enjoyed going to movies with his son, Nick. She died on 11 Dec 2010 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. She married (1) PERCY HAROLD REEVES. He was born on 02 May 1926 in New Ross, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada 5 . He died on 17 Oct 1958 in Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada 5 . She married (2) SIDNEY HILTZ. Notes for Della Odessa Russell: From her obituary: During her early days, she worked as a cook in several lumber camps and for a brief time ran her own lumber business. She was also employed as a bookkeeper for many years and then turned to her love of handcrafts, sewing for Suttles and Seawinds; and owning her own business. She is well known for the quality of her workmanship and has received several prizes and awards in competitions for crocheting and quilting over the years. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a source of great joy in her life and she took pleasure in stories of their adventures. The following children are listed: Valerie Hiltz (Don), St. Peter's Barbara Crouse (Mark), Upper LaHave Angela Hiltz (Grant Levy), Oakville, Ontario More About Percy Harold Reeves: Cause Of Death: Renal failure due to shock from a gunshot wound in a hunting accident Notes for Percy Harold Reeves: FUNERAL LARGEST EVER HELD IN THE COMMUNITY New Ross - Residents of New Ross and nearby communities were deeply shocked when learning of the passing of Percy Reeves Friday afternoon at the D.M. Hospital, Bridgewater, where he was taken the previous day, following a shooting accident at Nine Mile Lake. The death of Mr. Reeves, young husband and father of three small children, made the third tragic accident to occur in the community within a week. R.C.M.P. requested a helicopter to take Reeves to hospital as the area in which he was wounded was inaccessible by land. The helicopter flew the victim to the Lunenburg County Exhibition Grounds at Bridgewater and he was transferred from there to hospital by ambulance. The bullet hit Reeves in the hip and lodged in his stomach. Mr. Reeves was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reeves of Forties, New Ross, and was 32 years old. He attended the Lake Ramsay school and when completing his education he was engaged in lumbering and trucking until a few years ago when he and his brother Clifford operated a sawmill. In 1946 he married Miss Della Russell of New Ross, who survives him. Surviving also are his three small children Grant, Valerie and Barbara; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reeves, Forties; five brothers Clifford, Maurice, Courtney all, of Forties; Basil of West Northfield; Orin of New Ross also four sisters, Madeline, (Mrs. Melvin Walker), Upper Granville; Elsie, ( Mrs. Harold French), Maine; Elva, (Mrs. Ernest Bezanson), Ontario and Pansy, (Mrs. Foster Hiltz) ofForties. 25

Generation 5 (con't) The remains rested at the Lindsay Funeral Home, Kentville, until Monday when they were brought to his late residence for a short service at the house and thence to Christ Church for service at 3 o'clock, conducted by Father John Mitchell. The church, which seats 300 persons was filled to overflowing and as many again had to stand outside. A loud speaker was installed in the church to enable outsiders, an estimated 800 persons in all, to take part in the service which was the largest funeral ever to be held in New Ross. Hymns sung were "Just As I Am Without One Plea", "Safe In The Arms OfJesus". Pallbearers were Ernest Veinott, David Crossley, Paul Veinott, ErnestSwinimer, Dean Reeves and Russell Keddy. Interment was in the family lot in the new cemetery. Floral tributes were many and beautiful. Percy Harold Reeves and Della Odessa Russell had the following child: i. GRANT 6 REEVES. She died on 07 May 2013 in Oromocto Public Hospital, Oromocto, Sunbury, New Brunswick, Canada 9 . She married PARKER JOHN REEVES. He was born on 29 Oct 1929 2 . Parker John Reeves and Shirley Doris Russell had the following children: i. DARYL 6 REEVES. He married LINDA UNKNOWN. ii. iii. iv. PARKER (SKIP) REEVES JR.. DEBORAH REEVES. She married (1) UNKNOWN CAISSIE. She married (2) DAVID BLYTH before May 2013. ELIZABETH REEVES. She married CARL MCINTOSH. 30. AUDREY THERESA 5 TURNER (Idella Serena (Della) 4 Aalders, Henry Lambert 3 Aalders, John N. 2 Aalders, Henry 1 Aalders*) 2 was born about 1937 in New Ross, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. She died on 15 Jul 2005 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. She married STANLEY MEDFORD (HOP) HILTZ. He was born about 1923 in The Forties, New Ross, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. He died on 27 Jan 1997 in The Forties, New Ross, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. Notes for Audrey Theresa Turner: From her obituary: She was a member of St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Forties. Audrey was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards. Notes for Stanley Medford (Hop) Hiltz: From his obituary: He was a labourer all of his working life and retired to farm the family farm. He was a lifelong member of St. Augustine Anglican Church, The Forties. Stanley Medford (Hop) Hiltz and Audrey Theresa Turner had the following children: i. BERNARD 6 HILTZ. He married CYNDEE UNKNOWN. ii. JEFFREY HILTZ. He married CRYSTAL UNKNOWN. 31. DORIS MARGARET 5 AALDERS (Arnold Leander 4 , Henry Lambert 3 , John N. 2 , Henry 1 Aalders*) 7 was born on 10 Aug 1932 in Berwick, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada 7 . She died on 05 Aug 2017 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada 7 . She married HAROLD (BUSTER) BEST. He died before Aug 2017. Notes for Doris Margaret Aalders: From her obituary: In 1953, Doris graduated from Mack Business College. She was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church, and a former member of their choir. During her retirement years, she loved being at her summer home, enjoying the panoramic views of the beautiful Bay of Fundy. 26
