Warm Greetings!!
Welcome to the launch issue of Kisumu
Concrete Products newsletter, it is with
utmost pleasure to have you read our first
issue, in this issue we will highlight the
various activities that we carry out within
and without the quarry, we hope you shall
enjoy it.
The organization would like to inform our
customers that this year we are celebrating
40 years of excellence, dedication and hard
work. I must thank the team at KCP for their
commitment, since its inception on 04th
May, 1978. We really appreciate the efforts
made by especially the founding leader our
grandfather the late Mr. Karsan Rabadia
and his two sons, the late Mr. Jadva Karsan
Rabadia and Mr. Lalji Karsan Rabadia, the
board members, and all the staff in KCP and
most importantly our KINGS & QUEENS
the ‘Customer’ who have put quite some
time and effort into helping make this dream
become a reality.
It is our intention to ensure that the
Company achieves professional and correct
goals set for the construction industry by all
Kenyan governing regulatory bodies. Our
mission is to be the preferred supplier of
economic and quality concrete products in
a socially responsible environment.
The Kenyan construction industry has
changed tremendously over the years.
Amidst the need for transformation and the
increased impact of globalisation Kisumu
Concrete Products has remained steadfast
in its mission to develop and promote
excellence in the industry.
As part of fulfilling our mandate we strive
to develop personal and meaningful
relationships with stakeholders that extends
beyond Kisumu County. We have branches
in Kisii and Bungoma. It is with this in mind
that we are excited to launch this quarterly
newsletter, which we hope will make an
entertaining and informative contribution
to the Kenyan Construction industry. It is
our intention that the will provide varied
and alternative perspectives on topics and
events on the Kenyan construction calendar
and position KCP as an important enabler
of the construction industry in our country.

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE & TRACK RECORD
For the period Kisumu Concrete Products Ltd has been in
existence, tremendous progress has been achieved and trading
continued to thrive offering dynamic performance. The firm is
registered and continues to register with various clients including
commercial firms, parastatal organizations, government ministries
and private individuals as trading customers. We have continually
invested in new Quarry machinery and technology to increase our
production capacity and quality.

was incorporated on may 4, 1978.
The Head office of Kisumu Concrete Products LTD
is situated along Kisumu - Miwani road within kisumu
County after Kisumu.
MISSION
To demonstrate and maintain our commitment to quality, excellence, customer
satisfaction with continuous growth and improvement.
VISION
To be the largest one-stop shop supplier of premium quality concrete products with
advanced manufacturing technology to maintain a greener environment.
OUR TEAM
The company is managed with assistance of qualified graduates in administration,
sales, technical and finance. The company currently has a workforce of 180 permanent
employees who are well versed with current trading economies and over 50 casual
employees.
Rose Onyango suspects her daughter has Malaria. She didn’t have bus
fare to travel to Russia hospital where her daughter was born and so
has come to this dispensary which is much closer. She will pay only
KSh100 for a blood test.
About two dozen women and an equal number of children are
scattered in the compound waiting to be served. One baby is placed
on a scale and his weight recorded. Then his height is measured. His
mother is given a card allowing her to get into the 3-room clinic to
see one of the two nurses on duty.
The dispensary has been a godsend to the local community; especially
the pregnant women who go there for antenatal and postnatal care.
On average, the dispensary sees 60 pregnant women every month.
These women travel to St. Monica or Russia hospital in Kisumu to
deliver their babies which are far away because the dispensary lacks
a maternity. “Two days ago a lady delivered in a kiosk at night while
on the way to St. Monica. In the morning she was brought here,” says
Jane Ambiyu the Nursing Officer in charge of the dispensary built in
1999 by Kisumu Concrete Products Limited on land which it donated
to the local community. The dispensary offers preventive and curative
medicine including Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) for HIV,
nutrition and vaccinations.

Kaimosi TTC
The first Missionary School which gave birth to the Present day
flourishing Kaimosi Teachers College was established in 1902 by
Edgar Hole. Courtesy of the Friends also referred to as Quakers
from United States of America, the school started with many
challenges such as low enrolment, lack of classrooms for tuition, no
curriculum, no text books and no writing materials. Learning was
conducted under a tree until 1904 when the first building was put
up, it is with such a unique public information that we as Kisumu
concrete product are proud to be part of this great institution, we
have been supplying Kaimosi TTC construction materials such as
aggregates, blocks, ready mix concrete just to mention few for the
last three years, which they have used to construct classrooms,
hostels, staff room, stores etc. We appreciate the management
under the leadership of Hon. Onzere B. Mudangale – Chief Principal
for the support and for the continued partnership.
