Stuart Boat Show speaks to the need for a healthy river<br />
<strong>Martin</strong> <strong>County</strong> is known for its exceptional art shows and genuine seafood festivals that fill up the months of January and <strong>February</strong> each year. Kicking off that festival<br />
season here, however, is the Stuart Boat Show, by the Marine industries Association of the Treasure Coast, with new boats, previously owned boats, vendors, seminars<br />
and lots of seaworthy camaraderie. Kids -- of all ages -- love these up-close, personal looks at all sizes and manner of cruisers and yachts. Recognized in 2016 by the<br />
Southeast Tourism Society as a top-20 event in the Southeast, the mid-January event reminded us yet again how much we depend on access to a healthy St. Lucie River.<br />
Even if you don't own a boat, circle mid-January 2019 at the foot of the Roosevelt Bridge as THE place to go for a great family-oriented event.<br />
