LEGOS IN THE LIBRARY: Join us every Sun. 1-3pm in the Activity Room to make your own Lego creation. Children ages 5-12, younger is fine, too, when accompanied by an adult. Do not bring any Legos from home. TALES FOR TAILS: Join us in the Children’s Dept on Sat., April 14th, 1-2pm to read to a therapy dog. The Friends of the Anacortes Library’s Art Committee is launching a new art exhibit program in the community room of the Anacortes Public Library. Artists residing in the 98221 zip code are eligible to submit digital photos of their two dimensional art for consideration. Send an e-mail to requesting info on how to apply. The first exhibition will be May 10 thru Sept. 13. Submittal deadline is April 20, 2018. Meet Jim Lynch, author of the 2018 Whidbey Reads selection “Before the Wind” at the Oak Harbor Yacht Club on Thurs., April 19 at 3pm. Book sales and signing follow the program.
