Soroptimists Support Relay for Life - The Soroptimist Thrift Shop located
at 1107 will be open from Noon until 4 pm on April 28th and May 26th. All
proceeds raised from these special Saturday openings will be donated to
the American Cancer Society’s Anacortes Relay for Life.
Each Thursday, from 4 - 6:30 p.m. at Anacortes First Baptist Church (2717 J
Avenue), free clothing and accessories are available to those in need within
the Anacortes Community. “The Clothes Closet” offers clothing for all ages
(infant to adult). Stay for a free dinner at the “Kitchen Table” from 5:30 - 6:30

Free Income Tax Assistance. The Anacortes Tax-Aide program, sponsored
by AARP, prepares free tax returns for taxpayers of all ages, and especially
for low-middle income and seniors. New locations: Anacortes Methodist
Church, 2201 H Ave Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm,
Jan 29 - Apr 12; Cascade Mall Community Room, 201 Cascade Mall Drive,
Burlington, Monday thru Wednesday, 3:00 -7:00 pm, Jan 29 - Apr 16. Anacortes
location is ADA-accessible, Burlington site can prepare returns in
Spanish. Stop by our site during open hours to get a checklist of tax forms
and information you will need. 4/12.
Dress You for Success! Soroptimist International Thrift Shop will
assist in selecting up to four complete FREE outfits and give helpful
interview guidelines for individuals who are in transition, preparing for
job or college interviews. Call 293-7251 any Tues. or Fri. morning for an
appointment or stop by during working hours for application.
Soroptimist Thrift Shop Winter Hours: Tuesdays 1:30pm - 6:30pm and
Fridays 11am-6:30pm. 1107 3rd Street. The Intake Room (donation
drop-offs) and the Home Health Room (Hospital Equipment Loan
Program) at the Soroptimist Thrift Shop hours are Tues. and Fri. from 7

Fidalgo Atheists meet 3rd Thursday monthly 7:15 - 8:30pm, Village Pizza,
upstairs 807 Commercial, Anacortes. Non-atheists and all views, civilly

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Open Mental Health Support
Group for those with mental illness, their family and friends, meets on
the fourth Thursday of each month 7-9pm at United Methodist Church
