Giving of offering and taking of communion is available at any time the Lord calls you
to do so during the 11am service. Offering Boxes are available in the sanctuary.
What’s Available for the Children?
• Kids K-5th are always welcome in the services but also know they are invited
to head over to the ALL NEW KidMin Building (Building A) before services for
their own age appropriate worship (they are also welcomed to wait until before
the sermon).
• Nursery care is provided for the little ones in the Lil’Min Nursery (Building B)
You can pick up your children in those buildings at the conclusion of services.
• Finally, there is a Sitting Room at the rear of the sanctuary if you need such a
place.

EARN MORE POINTS FOR COLOR CLASH THIS WEEK: All you
have to do is visit the Thrift Boutique (M-Sa 10a-4p) and/or Derbyshire
Place (F-Sa 9a-3p) and say your name and color. Whatever color
team has the most at each location will receive 2 bonus points at the
finale on Sunday August 22nd.
CHURCHWIDE SUMMER MISSIONS OPPORTUNITY: This summer
you have an opportunity to serve those who are in great need right
here in our own state by signing up for this year’s Missions Trip. As a
church we will be helping rebuild hurricane Irma damaged homes with
the Florida UM Conf in Big Pine Key, FL on the week of July 16-21.
The only costs will be travel, food and a fun event on the last day.
Everything else is covered by the conference!! A sign up will be
available next week or you can talk with Judi Winch or Tyler Winch for
details.
ROLLING RIVER RAMPAGE VBS: It’s coming the week of June 4th–
8th and we need you! Register as a volunteer or student at
www.cokesburyvbs.com/firstchurchportorange. It takes at least 40
volunteers to make our time together safe and impactful for the kids.
There’s a donation board in the Lobby.
OLDER WISER LIVELIER SENIORS: The OWLS will meet on Friday,
April 20th at 11:30 am at Blackbeard's Inn located at 701 N Dixie Frwy
in New Smyrna Beach. Contact Carol Martin (386) 523-4294 or

PRESCHOOL APRIL SHOWER: We are having an April Shower for
our Church Preschool. There is a display in the Lobby. We are asking
for gardening and work tools. Shelley Boehm will be there before each
service to explain and collect items.
SEND KIDS TO CAMP: You can help with the cost of gas to camp by
visiting Texas Roadhouse on Sundays and by bringing a copy of your
bulletin with you. They’ll give 10% of your bill back to our camp fund.
SENIOR TABLES: Graduation Autograph Books for our seniors will be
on the tables in the lobby next week. If you’d like to leave an
encouraging word, please sign their books next week.

I Believe But Don’t Fear God
2 Timothy 3:2-5
God is not a _______ .
‘Fear of God’, has a bit more to do with ________ than
fear.
An ___________ God is very handy but not Christianity.
Rather than fear the bully we need to be in ____of God.

live in awe of God.

Matthew 22:37 37 He said to him, “‘You shall love the
Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your
mind.’
Psalms 36:1-2 1 Transgression speaks to the wicked
deep in their hearts; there is no fear of God before their eyes. 2 For they
flatter themselves in their own eyes that their iniquity cannot be found out
and hated.
Proverbs 1:7 7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Romans 7:21-25 21 So I find it to be a law that when I
want to do what is good, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of
God in my inmost self, 23 but I see in my members another law at war with
the law of my mind, making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my
members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will rescue me from this body of
death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my
mind I am a slave to the law of God, but with my flesh I am a slave to the
law of sin.
Ephesians 1-3 Children, obey your parents in the Lord,

commandment with a promise: 3 “so that it may be well with you and you
may live long on the earth.”
1 Timothy 4:16 16 Pay close attention to yourself and to
your teaching; continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both
yourself and your hearers.
Proverbs 9:10 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning
of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.

I Believe But Don’t Fear God
2 Timothy 3:2-5
God is not a BULLY .
‘Fear of God’, has a bit more to do with RESPECT than
fear.
An EMERGENCY God is very handy but not
Christianity.
Rather than fear the bully we need to be in AWE of
God.
We follow DOCTRINE, DISCIPLINE and the Spirit to
live in awe of God.
God’s plan is not CORRECTION but PERFECTION in
