A chef at Levy Restaurants approached me to<br />

design a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) concept<br />

inspired by the flavors of Far East Asia. What<br />

better inspiration to draw from than the outdoor<br />

markets in Thailand, Vietnam, etc. The energy of<br />

the street is transported into Flash Rooster. The<br />

colors, materials, and culinary fare are all<br />

indicative of authentic Far East Asian street food<br />

and culture. Welcome to Flash Rooster where we<br />

are serving up some “Farout fare from the Far<br />

East”.<br />

Location: Atlanta, GA [GWCC]<br />

Role: Design Lead [Branding + Identity, Architectural Design]<br />

Our friends over at the GWCC (Georgia World Congress Center)<br />

in Atlanta wanted us to re-concept an existing Starbucks space<br />

into a dual purpose coffee shop and bar. In the morning hours<br />

the space would act as a coffee shop and in the evening<br />

transform into a bar/lounge. We designed a space that evoked<br />

the charm of a coffee shop while still maintaining the industrial<br />

cool of a city bar. The juxtaposition of warm wood and copper<br />

finshes along with some ornamental tables you might find in<br />

your grandmas basement and mid century Eames chairs gives<br />

the space a cool vibe without trying too hard.<br />

Role: Design Lead [Branding + Identity, Architectural Design]<br />

The Denver Nuggets approached Levy Restaurants to help<br />

in designing an underutilized group sales/restaurant space<br />

on the Club Level at Pepsi Center in Denver Colordao.<br />

Being such a large footprint it made sense to create a<br />

zoning strategy and establish functions for each zone. The<br />

use of partitions helped to shape the space and define<br />

the dining, lounging and group sales areas creating a<br />

multi-functional space for groups of all sizes.<br />

Role: Design Lead [Architectural Design]<br />

A concept for a new bar/restaurant inside the Indanapolis<br />

Motor Speedway. Named 257 in honor of the fastest<br />

recorded indy car speed by Arie Luyendyk in 1996. The<br />

space features 2 levels, a bar/dining space and outdoor<br />

patio on the second level hosting private parties and<br />

musical acts.<br />
