Fabeyonce “ Did you turn gay” I get the same question constantly, “when did you turn gay?” Well I’ve always been gay, you just don’t wake up one morning and say “Hey I’m Gay.” But maybe we should. Since I was young, I always had a strut in my walk that was very noticeable. I was always called out for it and on top of that, I was very flamboyant. But I did go through the stages of having quite a few girl friends but that never lasted (not really sure why) lol. I remember when dating girls I wanted it to be over so fast because I felt awkward with them. And I know I did it so people would think I’m normal, but when it came time to eat the taco I said “Hell No Gotta Go”. So I knew something was up. Growing up around cholos and Latin cowboys (chalinos) I remember they would always be outside drinking, a bit drunk and having a good time. I’d catch myself right by the wall where they would pee just to get a glimpse of that corn on the cob (wink wink.) I did a few times, but seriously I was attracted to these men and it didn’t feel wrong. It actually felt right if that makes sense. The day I decided to come out, I was arguing with my mom and she of course was upset with me about something and she called me out, and read me to filth, so I had no option other than coming out. She was so upset and I stomped off. Hours later she said “I knew you were, I’d rather have you this way than any other way” So we slowly got off the subject. Still, I was so scared to be honest with everyone I knew in middle school. I was picked on, called names, bullied and pushed around. But I had to stand up for myself like my mom said “If you don’t fight them, I will”. So I absolutely took her advice and after that, no one picked in me again! High school came around and all the guys wanted to befriend me which I didn’t accept. But now as a adult, I do speak to some. When people ask when did you turn gay there’s no turning point. It’s always in you, one does not bump your head and wake up after a long nap and say I woke up gay! No, no, no, not cute. Well thats my story I would love to hear yours. So long for now my loves, if you have any questions or like me to answer anything, please message me on Facebook under Fabeyonce or Instagram fabeyonc_e I didn’t have first my gay experience until I was 15 (late bloomer?) He was older of course and sex wasn’t a thing for me yet, just the fact that it was a man that was very matured, handsome, and muscular packing a big Philly cheese steak. All this talk about food is making me hungry! Moving along, I knew I was different and not like straight men. 32 The original Gay Desert Daily Guide. View our Free Digital Version on-line.
