The taster session will be delivered by Mark Rowbottom who manages “Steppin’ Out” dance centre and has more than twenty years dance experience. Within the taster class you will receive expert tuition on two of the standard Ballroom dances: Rumba and Tango. You do not need a partner to join the taster class. This Ballroom taster class is a great opportunity to try the class and ask the tutor any questions you may have before deciding whether or not to sign up to the ‘Ballroom for Beginners’ course. From the initial prophecy of Macbeth becoming King to their untimely demise, this story will thrill audiences. This performance has been designed specifically for school groups and compliments the requirements for the GCSE English Literature programme of study. We will be throwing open our doors to our local friends and neighbours to discover the variety of things we do here at the University of Manchester. Visitors will be able to go behind the scenes at the University to find out all about our work and get hands-on with a variety of exciting activities. The day will be filled with fascinating activities and visitors can get hands-on with some of our research. We certainly have a fantastic treat
for our young audiences with two Easter
productions starting with Easter Bunny Eggs
Factor for the 2-7 year olds. This is followed by our
Easter pantomime Alice in Wonderland which stars Britain’s
Got Talent winner Ashleigh with her dog Sully along with
children’s favourite TV presenter Dave Benson Phillips.
There is also one further star casting still to be announced.
