Page 22 April Edition Seven Lakes News Arlo is a 2-3 year old mixed breed. He is tall, slender, & weighs 50lbs. He is very playful & thoroughly enjoys the company of other dogs. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Sarge is a 4-6 year old, fun sized Staffordshire terrier mix! He weighs 53lbs & is short & stout. He is very sweet with people & other animals. He is up to date on vaccines,needs special care heart worm positive.

The Sandhills Children’s Center is a private, non-profi t organization that offers an inclusive child developmental day program for children with and without special developmental needs, ages birth through fi ve, twelve months a year. The Children’s Center provides educational programs, therapeutic and nutritional services, and family support that help children with disabilities that may include, Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other chronic illnesses and developmental delays. Our Vision & Our Partners – We constantly strive to be a recognized leader and preeminent provider of educational and therapeutic services to young children through continuous organizational growth and collaboration with our community partners. Our inspiration to succeed in our mission comes from the children we serve and their families. Our History – Sandhills Children’s Center opened its doors on September 15, 1970 with Sheri Davis as our fi rst child. At that time, parents and advocates for children were witness to the birth of early intervention programs across the state which North Carolina has been recognized as a leader ever since.
