Seven Lakes Lifestyles April Edition Page C 3 McKenzies Mill To Perform in Europe Ryan and Justin Harris of Mckenzies Mill of West End, NC will be performing for the Grand Opening of the world famous Mario Barth Tattoo Studio in Graz, Austria on May 4th. Mckenzies Mill, Tommy Lee, DJ Aero and Josh Todd will feature live shows at the Festival all day long. Mario Barth Enterprises is the premier international tattoo organization with high-end tattoo studios including Starlight Tattoo, as well as King Ink at The Mirage, the industry’s fi rst and only tattoo studio and nightclub. CEO, dinary clientele including Usher, Sylvester Stallone, Lenny Kravitz, Tommy Lee, and many others. McKenzies Mill brothers, Ryan and Justin Harris met Mr. Barth while performing at a Barth event in Las Vegas, NV. As this newspaper reported in February, the brothers, better known as McKenzies Mill were chosen as “Duo Of The Year”, at the Carolina Artists of the Year Awards”, show held on January 22 at the House Of Blues in Myrtle Beach. The band which has toured nationally, will now be heading to Europe. According to Ryan Harris “they love to get back home, support community charitable causes and to appreciate and embrace their small town “roots” of Moore County. Growing up on McKenzies Mill Road in West End, NC, they captured their artist name of “McKenzies Mill”. Nashville has become home base for the band for the past 12 years after performing local concerts throughout Moore County. Ryan and Justin still fi nd time to write new songs and just fi nished producing two new singles. The May 4th event will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the most tattoo’s done, in an 8 hour period. Seven Lakes 4th Of July Fireworks The band McKenzies Mill will be in concert locally on June 1st at Lakehouse Bar & Grill in Seven Lakes, NC. This is a free event to brought to you by the Seven Lakes Business Guild. By: Rick Levinger Fireworks have been rescheduled to July 3rd. According to Jeanette Mendence, SLLA Community Manager, “this years fi reworks display will be held on the evening of July 3rd ,a Tuesday due to scheduling confl icts To Be Held On July 3rd with the pyrotechnical company that provides the fi reworks display for Seven Lakes residents.” Evidently when Ms. Mendence assumed the position, she looked at the July 4th event and the fi reworks were not scheduled. She called to schedule with the previous fi reworks company, and found out they were booked for the 4th. The confl ict was due to the person that scheduled the event was no longer with the company. As Ms. Mendence contacted other companies it was the same outcome, so she immediately booked the previous company for the event to be held July 3rd.
